I used to believe that as human individuals, we are born into this world with natural rights that are inviolate: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Property or Happiness. Now we’re on the downhill slide after reelecting a malignant and grandiose narcissist who will run this country into the ground. The folks who used to be conservatives that I knew have gone full-on fascist, appealing to their own unqualified biases and fears, and put us on the road to destruction.

I understand your sentiment, but Ronnie is dead. The best we can hope for is someone that embodies the spirit, but is their own person as well. I really don't see anyone on the political scene that has what he had. I am quite sure there are people out there like him, but they probably avoid politics. I can't say I blame them.
ReplyDeleteRonald Reagan was a great man and it's a shame no one will stand up and be the next Reagan... or even Reagans. We need real leaders who won't bow down to the liberals just to avoid getting spit in the face.
ReplyDeleteI think it is more that some leaders want to be liked by the rest of the world. Our country should come first, not the popularity with strangers. The next Reagan will be a Libertarian... If we ever get that far.
