Ted Is Dead

Well, let's get it over with. Ted is dead, oh yes, Ted is dead. The last of the Kennedy brothers died last night from the complications of brain cancer. Like I said, lets get it over with. Ted Kennedy was not a good man, not by any normal person's standard. He was drunkard, a philanderer, a murderer, a cheat, a liar and the least of all of it he was a liberal piece of manure. At first thought, I might not blame him as it seems like a genetic disorder. Consider his brothers shared some of the same traits and results, as did the next generation with Michael Skakel and William Kennedy Smith. All pieces of manure, with the jackass sardonic Kennedy smile, but I digress.

No, Ted was responsible for his actions, the problem is, he never was held responsible for them, not on this earth and it was a grave injustice to him. From the time his dad bailed him out for multiple cheatings at Harvard to Chappaquiddick. It just emboldened the Kennedy genes. Having read The Last Brother by Joe McGinness, I kind of feel a little sorry for Ted. He was after all the youngest, a n'er do well in school that just didn't excel at anything. When Ted graduated from law school, it was said he wanted to move to Colorado and have his own law practice and make it by himself. Another opportunity lost to change the destiny of the Kennedy genes. I really think he resented being in that family at some point but was never able to break away. Unfortunately, he sublimated his discontent into alcoholism, womanizing, and all around bad behavior. Who can forget the waitress sandwich he had with Chris Dodd?

Anyway, by all accounts, the debt is paid in full now. Ted met his maker and whatever happened between them is done. He is now serving eternity with the punishment or reward (unlikely, but who knows? God has a fantastic sense of humor) that he received from god.
Good riddence Ted, you really were a piece of work, you could have done better with what you were given, but chose to piss it away on booze, women and felonious acts. I hope the citizens of Massachusetts get to elect someone better than you in the upcoming special election.

On a couple other notes, to add insult to injury, they are going to bury this rat bastard at Arlington. That is almost as incredulous as burying the remains of Hitler at Auschwitz. I was really hoping for a burial at sea.

Thank you for reading this blog and have a shot of scotch in memory of Der Schwimmer.

Update:
How fitting that Obamao was on Martha's Vineyard on a vacation when Ted Died. I wonder if he visited Chappaquiddick?

My Love Affair With Teddy Roosevelt

Is over.

Having grown up on Long Island, it's difficult to not to know who Theodore Roosevelt was. He was the only president from Long Island, having his residence at Sagamore Hill, and being buried at Youngs Memorial Cemetery, both in Oyster Bay.

So great was this youngest president that not only does he have a monument in Washington DC, but his visage is featured on Mount Rushmore. Theodore Roosevelt embodied the triumph of the individual over anything, by shear will and determination. As much as he came from a privileged background, he had a life where he overcame shortcomings, adversity and tragedy. Anyone who has read his "Man in the arena" speech has heard this synthesized down to it's most empirical and elemental form.

As a young man, Teddy was my hero. He always stood up for what was right, did the right thing, and had the balls to back it up. He was also a person that could be at ease with a ditch digger or a King, and was one of the smartest and best read of the presidents, being in the small company of Jefferson, Lincoln and Washington, hence Rushmore. He was an incredible human being and I wish I could have met him, as we would have gotten along well I think on most levels. But.

The presidency of Barry O has let me reconsider Theodore in the light of progressivism. As much as TR redefined the US in the 20th century, I think BHO wished to do so in the 21st. Moreover, I think TR was misguided if not wrong about being a progressive. I agree with his championing universal suffrage and race relations, but I disagree with his stance on the government's role in people's lives and taxes. TR was the man who laid down the progressive and socialist fuse for his distant cousin FDR to light. For a man that championed the individual, he fomented collectivism. What irony. If I had to suppose why this is, I'd have to guess that may be TR felt guilty on some level about coming from privilege (in which time there was quite a bit more disparity between rich and poor. Our notion of middle class didn't exist then as it does now) or may be at the other end, he was an elitist or social darwinist that thought we should care for those less fortunate through government largesse, as a shepherd tends to his flock. May be both. In addition, may be he got off at the power he envisioned the president and the government could wield in this arena. I've read The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt and Theodore Rex and I still look for answers. May be it's a foibles of being a genius. Let me know if you come up.

This reconsideration of TR has led me to accept him for the man he was, but he never can be my hero again. May be that's ok. Hero worship is such wasted energy and unrealistic anyway and as much as I feel disappointed on some level, he still was one of the greatest people to be president. In fact Barry O isn't worthy to polish his shoes and in spite of their progressive kinship, they are not matched well at all. How that mountebank became president annoys the hell out of me, but that is another story.

Oh Canada: Even your head doctor says your healthcare system sucks

The incoming president of the Canadian Medical Association had this to say: "Dr. Anne Doig says patients are getting less than optimal care..." This is an understatement. Still, the progressives in this country want a system just like Canada. May be all the progressives and their minions can move to Canada. It's not that far and I am sure they will help Canadians fix their healthcare system. Sounds like a plan to me.

John Mackey Stirs The Pot

John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods wrote an article in the WSJ that began with the Margaret Thatcher quote "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out
of other people's money." What should be instructive about that quote is that in spite of Thatcher being a staunch conservative and anti-socialist, she was never able to get socialism out of England, but I am digressing. John Mackey jumped from the frying pan into the fire with that article because a lot of his customers are progressive socialist eviro-weenies. He made the mistake of pissing some of them off. What is illustrative here is that in spite of him showing an alternative plan to Obama's that didn't include a government sponsored option, they crucified him as if he said everyone should die now. What these progressive enviro-terrorist socialist-fascist monkeys have proved is that they are statists. Why? Because they need to power of the government to enforce their ideas. This is so because their ideas are not supported by the facts, and what we observe. Their ideas fail in practicum.

From what I can tell Mr. Mackey is a small c capitalist and libertarian. He also is a businessman and wants to make a profit, but treat his employees fairly. I think he is on the right track, and his honesty is refreshing. So, I contend that if he loses business from the sandals and veggie burger crowd, the good people that truly appreciate freedom will fill the vacuum. To that effect, I say shop at Whole Foods, as your business will help support a businessman that respects freedom and wants to promulgate freedom. Way to go Mr. Mackey.

And to the Left Coast Rebel: You beat me to writing about this article, but I can't publish from work. It's too risky. Good show.

Grassley Doesn't Get It.

Chuck doesn't get it. We don't want it. The government can hardly do anything right, and we want to entrust them with healthcare? Yet he still says he's going to fight for the bill. Fight for what? Less bad? So basically Chuck is giving us a reach around while we are getting stuck in the bum. Chuck suffers from a common disease that politicians get. It's called do something at any cost disease. You see, politicians want to show their constituents that they are doing something, even if it is wrong, farcockt, unethical or even feckless. It's like they can't help themselves. May be it's arrogance. May be it's just part of the narcissistic personalities that most politicians have. Who knows. But if he tries to tout that he did something during all this and brought some kind of bacon home or saved us from Obamacare, I have something to tell him. I do know that come 2010, you Chuck will find out you are out of a job. Good riddance. By the way, I know the chick in the right in the photo. Good for Cindy for being there.

What's Next?

What's next? What will Obama do since according to John Batchelor, he's lost the political narrative? While John believes this is about who controls the fairy tale, I like to deal in reality. I do agree that Obama has lost the information battle at this point as people have responded the opposite of what he expected. How did this happen?

One, Obama mistaken believes that because he is the first black man elected president and that the democrats won a clear majority in both houses that somehow this was a mandate to implement his progressivist socialist-fascist agenda. He was wrong.

It was a rebuke of 8 years of Bush, the war on terror and tiring of the same old shit. Bush failed to lead the country, particularly after the 2004 elections. It was a series of blunders, some of which were rolled up in the Iraq War, some were with his domestic policies that reeked of constituency pandering and showed his true nature as not being a conservative or libertarian and his overall inability to sell sell cheap water to an arab in the desert. I think some of this blame goes to Karl Rove as the win at any cost in 2004 led us down the wrong road and ultimately, created a power and leadership vacuum that allowed Obama to waltz in the white house.

Running up to the election, we ran into a fiscal crisis where it was decided that some companies were too big to fail. Enter the age of Atlas Shrugged. Citizens watched as the TARP bill was passed, and later after the elections, the ARRA was passed, both with majority opposition from the populace. Politicians ignored the cries of the citizenry against these bills, but to no avail. His Arrogance, King Barack "George III" Obama, believed that not only did he control the narrative, the the help of the 4th branch of government, but that his mandate to institute socialism in this country was fait accompli. What he didn't count on was that the people had had enough.

Like FDR before him, Obama wants to transform American into some sort of quasi-socialist democracy by cultivating and promulgating constituencies that will be beholding to his power to create programs that benefit them. In the end, it's all about him. Like FDR, he craves the power, limelight and adoration and will do anything to keep power. What he didn't count on was that people are more anti-socialist than he bargained for because we've had 60-70 years to see the failures of FDR and also LBJ, not to mention all of Europe. We don't want that.

So what now? It is my assertion that Obama and his minions will try to create or create a situation that will both marginalize the liberty movement and rally people around him. It may be a manufactured Pearl Harbor, or Oklahoma City bombing, or may be something else, but whatever it is, he will try to use it to assert his agenda, control the narrative as it were, and carry out his transformation of this country into a socialist country. While Obama is a coward that does not like to confront his adversaries, he likes to be right, even if the evidence proves otherwise. It's a matter of ego for him, and he won't take this laying down, as in his mind he has a mandate.

My prediction is that in the next 12 months, he will try something, as if he and the dems continue to lose the narrative, they are out in 2010 and probably in 2012. That just won't do, at least for him. And if he does do something, it could backfire like the Boston Massacre and cause the people to rally in opposition to the throne. Where were you?

Debbie Stabenow: Lowering the bar

The bar for requirements for senators has officially been lowered. Debbie Stabenow is one of the dumbest politicians I have heard in awhile. Dumber than even Chuck Grassley. Not only does the Senator from Michigan enthusiastically support Cap and Tax legislation, which would gut what is left of Detroit, but she knows global warming is a serious issue because of the storms she feels when she is flying. "They are more volatile". "We are paying the price with more tornadoes and hurricanes"...Ms. Stabenow, Michigan and much of the country has had the couldest July on record. Not only that, how many hurricanes have hit the US this year? Stunad. Where do they find these assholes?

Obviously the requirement for being a US Senator have dropped precipitously in the last few years (As has for the president). At this point, I'd be over-qualified, but I am sure I could do better than this maroon.

Hillary Agrees With Townhall Protesters

In a speech when she was running for President, Hillary passionately argues for protesting against the administration and the government. I imagine she also agrees with the right of the Townhallers and the Tea Baggers to protest. She must, she said so. Hey, Barry, even your secretary of state agrees with us. What are you going to do, Channel Bill?

Grassley's Arrogance Rear's It's Ugly Head Again

It's not only Democrats that are giving Americans the middle finger. His Arrogance of Iowa is at it again. He says he will do what's right no matter what his constituency says. In other words, he knows better than we do. May be John Batchelor should join Chuck for lunch and discuss the finer points of arrogance, or may be Steve Deace could give him a lesson what is truly right. Below is a video from The Other McCain. Steve King is a stand up guy and I hope he replaces Grassley or Harkin.

Thank you Steve King and thank you all for reading this blog.

Cash For Clunkers: Just another example of Obama's materialism

The picture at left is a shot a volvo going through its convulsions after having sodium silicate added to its oil. This is the process that dealers use when they take in cars for cash. The sodium silicate causes the engine to seize. They have to destroy the engine before it is crushed, so nothing will be useful from it.

This should stand as a microcosm of Obama's policies. Take cars out of service, that may have nothing wrong with them other than they have an owner that can be bribed into buying a car they may not be otherwise able to afford, and in the process get more into debt, which caused our current situation to begin with. Even cars today can be rebuilt, and the cost to do so would be far less than buying any new car.

Of course, the sole purpose of this exercise was one, to get cars off the road that don't get the gas mileage The One would like, two, get people to spend money, even if it is not their own or if they can afford to, and three, to push a green agenda that has no basis in economics. People will buys cars when they can and they will buy cars they want to buy. Using our money as a market force, which in the end will do us no good, is feckless and misguided. It also gives the false impression that something positive is being done.

My point here is that to the Dems and The One, the ends justify the means, even if the ends are ineffective at best. Such thinking extends to the administration's current policy on healthcare and cap and tax. If he is willing to destroy perfectly good cars and cars that can be remediated for less than the cost of a new one, how will he, and the government manage a healthcare system, especially when costs become onerous? Your life will be worth no more than the car they put in the sodium silicate. Obama et al only know the stick when it comes to enforcing their policies and their arrogance at knowing what is best for the rest of us is not only unlimited, but only applies to us. Do you think Obama will trade his gas guzzling limo for something more fuel efficient? No more than he or his demosocialist friends will take the same government healthcare that the rest of us will be forced to take. It's just another example of progressive socialist arrogance, and utter insouciance to what people want, which is liberty, at least in this country.

African American Conservative Attacked By Union Thugs

Where is Obama's outrage against this violence? Oh yeah, the union thugs are at his beck and call. Kenneth Gladney speaks out against the thugs. Good for him and Dems beware.

More Great News From Socialized Medicine

A grieving father opened the coffin of his premature baby, who had been pronounced dead just hours before, for a last good bye. What he found was that the baby wasn't quite dead, and in fact was breathing. So much for socialized medicine.

Swedish Meatballs

The Swedes are totally fucking nuts, even if you ignore them giving Al Gore the Nobel Prize. Lets start out with Item 1: Swedes are afraid of a commercial. You know, how has such a country produced such a giant like Magnus Samuelson, yet are such wusses. Item 2: Refugees died after HIV misdiagnosis. So much for socialized medicine. Item 3: Woman, 32, found guilty of raping woman. I wonder if the gay rights crowd will champion this. Item 4: Woman affirmed right to smoke in own garden. Isn't nice that someone can actually have some personal sovereignty on their own property? I am shocked that such a progressive and socialist country like Sweden would affirm such a right. Imagine doing as you like on your own property. Then again, I am surprised anyone is allowed to own property there.

I will admit that Item three is a little superfluous, but I find humor in it in the fact that some lesbian NOW agendists think that consensual sex between a man and a woman is rape, and here we have rape among their own. Sucks to be just human like the rest of us? This is not to disregard the horror of that act at all, and the seriousness that it should be dealt with, but I couldn't resist the hypocrisy of those people and them being proven wrong on some level. Unfortunately, all the woman got was to be put in a psychiatric facility. May be the rest of sweden should follow her there.

Bottom line, Socialism is nuts or makes you nuts. :)

Are The Browshirts Coming?

I warned about this last November. Bob Unruh, at WND wrote an article about positions in the National Guard for Internment Specialists. Read the description and it's quite scary. Even Canadians are scared.

According to a report by Janet Napolitiano and DHS, this is a list of potential terrorists:

  • Oppose abortion

  • Oppose same-sex marriage

  • Oppose restrictions on firearms

  • Oppose lax immigration laws

  • Oppose the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship, and the expansion of social programs

  • Oppose continuation of free trade agreements

  • Are suspect of foreign regimes

  • Fear Communist regimes

  • Oppose a "one world" government

  • Bemoan the decline of U.S. stature in the world

  • Are upset with loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India.

While I am not a conspiracy theorist or a birther, I do see actions by this administration that one should take pause at. When you look at the administrations actions regarding opponents, like turning in people that disagree with the administration, you have to say WTF? These actions are right out of the Chinese and Cuban communist play books. I just hope that this is not prescient to how they deal with opposition. Remember, Marx said that peace is when there is no opposition, not the lack of violence. I agree with him in that statement.

It's 1773

Is it 1773? Are we ready for our own version of the Coercive Acts? If our current situation doesn't mirror in some way the history of our country leading up to 1776, I don't know what does. We have a leader and politicians that disregard what the people want, that seek to oppress us with more taxes and laws. The difference is that we have elected these mountebanks and still they act poorly with impunity and without regard to their tenure. At the very least the democrats face a reversal of fortune never seen in the country. Beyond that, to the extreme, if Obama continues his progressivist socialist/fascist agenda regards of electoral outcomes in 2010, he risks breaking The Union. Unlike 1865, he would be on the losing side.

Obama Admitted He Wants Socialist Government Run Healthcare System

Where is CNN, PMSNBC, NBC, CBS or ABC about this? What about Republicans (Running over their own cliff as Birthers)? It's like most MSM is like, yes, so what? The Socialist Joker In Chief is truly the master magician if he gets this by under such protest as it is. The guy is a runaway train and he's going to unhitch the cars and let them go over the cliff while he steams away, with full approval of the first and fourth branches of government. These guys have no fear of 2010 and 2012. And you know why? Amnesty. That's right, Amnesty.
