Apostasy: Even The Right Guy will admit he is wrong

While my apostasy has nothing to do with Islam, I thought it was an interesting comic. Anyway...

My apostasy has to do with a blog post on LCR about Obama's CZARs. At the time, I thought the hubbub over the czars wasn't much more than another birther frenzy.

At the time, I had said something to the effect that we have better way and places to spend our energies to push back on Obama. Well, I was wrong. Unlike Fonzie, I can say it.

In light of how many communists, Maoists and socialists occupy czar positions, I have to say enough already. It is quite apparent that Obama intends to use bureaucrats to implement his policies, people that are only answerable to him. Like Wesley Mouch and his band of sycophants, Obama's czars intend on converting this nation from the number one economic,  social and military superpower, into a country that more closely resembles England, Denmark or any other of the feckless socialist democracies where people prefer to treated as farm animals rather than adult, unique individual human beings that are both free and responsible.

Since MaObama can appoint these people, it is up to us to shine a light on some of these idiots, like Anita Dunne, Van Jones and the most egregious, Ron Bloom.

Anyway, I was wrong.

Thank you for reading this blog.

What Don't They get?

What don't they get? The majority americans don't want government healthcare, they don't want the public option, yet they congress is bent on passing a bill that contains all of it? Are the Democrats that suicidal that they want to throw their jobs under the bus?

No, they don't, as politicians will do anything to get reelected. Either they are delusional and think this is what we want, or more likely, they see it as an opportunity that will not come again. They know as time goes on, people will become more disenchanted with the democrats and Obama and this is the only chance they can do it before 2010.

This is in part a fabian socialist agenda as it is incremental socialism, and they also know that once a bill is passed, it is very difficult to take it back. Remember the great society? The gun control act of 1968? The creation of HEW?  Go back to the IRS... Politicians, specifically those on the left have been practicing this incrementalism for over 90 years. Every inch they take we never get back. At this point, I hate to say it, but our only recourse is the SCOTUS. Why all these government programs haven't been challenged before, particularly that we have had enough center right members on the bench to make headway. My only guess is that it wasn't important to the Bush administration, which proved itself to be more socialist in some ways than the clinton administration.

At this point I am not hopeful, even if the GOP and/or 3rd party candidates unseat incumbents in 2010. It will be interesting to see how Doug Hoffman does, and the governor race in New Jersey. These will be the test to see what may come. I hope it is something better.

Soupy Sales: RIP

Soupy was a fixture on TV and radio in the sixties and anyone from that era would remember the Soupy Sales Show and Lunch with Soupy. Godspeed Soupy.

I wonder if Joe is a long lost child. May be he can fill in for Soupy and do a retro show. Joe is sure goofy enough.

While I am on the comparison kick....

What do you think of Michael Steele and Mr. Potato Head? The resemblance is uncanny.

Anita Dunn Admits that Obama Administration Controls Media

Here's Anita Dunn breaking it down, explaining how the Obama administration created the 4th Branch of the government. She's actually proud of it. Is this Josef Goebbels in drag? Adolph would be proud. But then again, Anita looks up to Mao Tse-Tung. Is anyone paying attention?

Obama Continues His Drawers Dropping For America's Enemies

Obama is at it again, this time dropping his drawers for the Chinese. According to Bill Gertz at The Washington Times:

President Obama recently shifted authority for approving sales to China of missile and space technology from the White House to the Commerce Department -- a move critics say will loosen export controls and potentially benefit Chinese missile development.

Of course this is nothing new. Obama dropped his drawers for Putin and even the Saudis. Do we see a trend here? At least charge the bastards admission like a carnival and get something out of it. Of course the sodomite president wouldn't understand that, as he doesn't understand capitalism. He believes everything should be free, at least to those in need.

Obama is Letting The Russians In The Front Door

Obama either is an naive and effete idiot or he is Putin's bitch

Fox News reported today that Obama is allowing unprecedented access by Russian inspectors to our nuclear sites. According to Fox News:

The plan, which Fox News has learned was agreed to in principle during negotiations, would constitute the most intrusive weapons inspection program the U.S. has ever accepted.

Hillary Clinton added that the US would be as transparent as possible...What next? Should we give Putin the launch codes to our missiles? Clinton continues:

"We want to ensure that every question that the Russian military or Russian government asks is answered," she said, calling missile defense "another area for deep cooperation between our countries."

Where is the quid pro quo you daft bitch? Hillary never gave it up this fast or so completely to Bill, and Bill must be jealous at this point.

What this underscores is a continuation of one, the MaObama policy of doing the opposite of whatever Bush did or any other GP president and two, the continuation of a policy to dismantle the US as the world's lone superpower. Putin must be ecstatic. All our detractors and enemies must be ecstatic. I see no cooperation here, just the US dropping it's pants and grabbing it's ankles, hoping for a reach around. No Obama, you won't be kissed in the morning either.

Thank you for reading this blog.

Guess Who Acts Like The Leader of The World?

I would say free world, but in this case, Putie doesn't see himself in that context and neither do I.

Reuters reported today that Putin warned against sanctions against Iran. Furthermore, he said this:

"There is no need to frighten the Iranians," Putin told reporters in Beijing after a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
"We need to look for a compromise. If a compromise is not found, and the discussions end in a fiasco, then we will see."
"And if now, before making any steps (towards holding talks) we start announcing some sanctions, then we won't be creating favourable conditions for them (talks) to end positively. This is why it is premature to talk about this now."
In another report at Breitbart:
"A top Russian security official says Moscow reserves the right to conduct pre-emptive nuclear strikes to safeguard the country against aggression on both a large and a local scale, according to a newspaper interview published Wednesday."
This is not only posturing, but a defining moment in US foreign relations under the Obama administration, where we find out who has the bigger stick.
The pusillanimous POTUS, the Cacasotto in Chief has tried to assuage our adversaries and friends by being a sycophant knee groveling fabian socialist piece of steaming humanity. If he thinks, or believes that somehow he has curried favor with the likes of Putin et al, then he is not only mistaken, but put us in a position where not only don't we control the narrative, but we do not control the outcome, which is more important.
Obama is too effete and naive to be the leader of the free world. He lacks the understanding of what motivates respect from the likes of Putin and he behaves like a nurdy fraternity pledge trying to curry favor with those that could easily destroy him. He is clearly out of his league, his element, and we are the worse off for it.
Can we afford three more years of this? How about eight?

Q:Why are Chicagoans Afraid To Come Out Of Their Homes?

This is a real simple post.

Question: Why are Chicagoans afraid to come out of their homes?

Answer: Because it is the only defense they have.

Chicago, one of the most corrupt cities in the nation, has proven feckless and impotent in protecting it's citizens. It lets the riff raff run the show, while the police play grab ankles with each other.

Why you ask? I have one supposition, no, make that two, may be, as to why. I am sure that John Lott could give a better account, but here goes.
Chicago, like other cities, has gangs. A lot of gangs in fact. What makes Chicago special is that these gangs are used to motivate and produce the vote, a lot like union thugs. Politicians use "community organizers" to liaise with gangs in order to get the people in a particular district to vote for a particular candidate. It's the only way corrupt politicians in the 2nd most corrupt city in America can keep their jobs.

When you have such ties to gangs, which are basically organized criminals, it basically both legitimizes them and emboldens them. The politicians would rather sacrifice a few citizens and BS them later, than tackle the the real problems of crime, which is getting rid of criminals while removing their breeding grounds.

The second issues revolves around incorrect thinking. Call it liberalism if you like. Chicago is full of liberals that think all sorts of incorrect thoughts, like citizens are not allowed to protect themselves from criminals, and that criminals have more rights than free citizens. Such is the liberal dementia.

How is this manifested? The people of Chicago, and Illinois are not allowed to carry concealed weapons legally. Just like Washington DC, that other paradigm of a safe community, you just can't do it. The criminals of course, don't really care, as they and the local politicians are in each other's pockets and hey, it's business.

My advice is to allow the people, the law abiding people of Chicago and Illinois to be able to arm themselves and protect themselves. It's a fundamental right and one that will be taken up by the Supreme Court. Until then, I have no advise for Chicagoans that is legal, except do what you have to do to protect yourself.

Until the SCOTUS decides this case, protect youself, and thank you for reading this blog.

Chuck Gets It

The Right Guy is not above changing his mind and he also likes a repentant sinner. In today's senate finance committee vote, Charles Grassley, Senator from Iowa, voted against the Obamacare amendment and not only did The committee’s top Republican, Senator vote against it, he had this to say:

“This bill is already moving on a slippery slope toward more government control of health care,”

Obviously Chuck had an epiphany. I cannot however, say the same thing about Olympia Snowe. The ersatz senator from Maine and the Wicked Witch from the East had this to say:

“Is this bill all that I would want?” Ms. Snowe asked. “Far from it. Is it all that it can be? No. But when history calls, history calls. And I happen to think that the consequences of inaction dictate the urgency of Congress to take every opportunity to demonstrate its capacity to solve the monumental issues of our time.”

Obviously Ms. Snowe doesn't get it and she must be one of those feckless politicians that thinks she has to do something, even if it is wrong or evil, just because she wants to look like she is doing something.

Luckily, she is not my senator, as she would feel the heat.

Mr. Grassley, thank you for coming to your senses, and voting with a conscience and thank you for reading this blog.

Obama Tried To Manipulate The Rightwing Press: An Update

Breitbart reports White House at War with Fox News. I guess Roger Ailes didn't give in. I wonder what was in the offering? It seems that the White House is in overdrive trying to quash opposition. B&GF at The Right Stuff reports on the latest antics of Eric Holder & Co. trying to quash the truth coming from the right wing blogs. Obama truly understands the Marxist maxim that peace is the absence of opposition. Troll all you want Eric and Barry, it won't help.

What is said in Vegas shouldn't stay in Vegas

From Rush Limbaugh's Website:

Steve Wynn said:

STEVE WYNN: 'Gov't never increased standard of living of one single human being in civilization's history'...

Go get'em Steve and shout it from the casino tops.

It's ironic that the state that gave us Harry Reid has such an enlightened businessman. No matter. Las Vegas is a study in economics all by itself. May be Mr. Wynn would like to run for office?

The M4: A substandard Firearm for the finest fighting force

Is it heresy? Is it it un-American? Is it wrong to say that the weapons we give to our army personnel suck? According to an AP article in the Des Moines Register, the M4 has had failures in the battlefield that have cost lives.

This is nothing new. The M-16 has had it's share of failures in the battlefield too, and that is what the M4 is based on. What is unbelievable to me is that after 12 years of the M4 and how many decades of the M-16, that we can't give our troops a better battle rifle.

What is stated here is purely my opinion. The problem with the M4 and it's variants is that it's design doesn't meet the requirements of reality. It's like using a corvette to go four-wheeling. These M-16/M4 weapons are made to be light, and use ammunition that maximizes firepower in terms of rounds of ammo that an be carried. The gun also has relatively tight tolerances that doesn't cope well with sand, grit and other elements that will get inside a guns action and render it useless. Also, the gun can't get rid of the heat fast enough under full auto fire. On top of this, the Army has chosen a round that is substandard in my opinion. The 5.56 works fine against woodchucks in rifles that have 24" barrels, but with the 14.5" barrels many of these rifles have sacrifices too much velocity. Remember the soldiers fighting the Moros in the Philippines? They found out how badly the .38 faired and clamored for .45s

Don't get me wrong; Colt has made some fine firearms throughout the years. The M1911 is among the finest, and it's too bad they can't do the same with the M4/16. Make is simple, reliable, and idiot proof. On the other hand, if you must go with such a substandard firearm, at least give Ruger or some other company a crack at making one that works better. If it were me, I would choose something else.

If it were I, I would use the AK-47. It's what our enemy uses, it's so reliable and simple that it's a job to get it not to work. Also, you could use any contraband ammo found on the battlefield. If that isn't palatable, HK makes some nice rifles based on the G-3 design. The HK91 and 93 are way better, and even the HK416 is an improvement. A SOCOM M14 would be nice as well, but I imagine our boys can't carry anything heavier than a loaf of bread.

How did we get here? My guess is lobbyists and other glad handing palm greasers found it more important to get a government contract than actually produce something that works well. A quick fix if they haven't thought of it is to use receivers and bolts that are plated with a nickel-ceramic compound that doesn't require lubrication and improves heat transfer. It's also easier to keep clean. Of course, it would be easier just to buy a couple million AK-47s from the Chinese. I am sure they have a few to spare. Below, the SOCOM M14, John Garand's design at its finest.

Sunday Brunch With The Right Guy: The Inner Circle

It's Sunday and it's brunch time with The Right Guy and his blog peeps, The Inner Circle.

This week was like no other. Coming out of post op, I thought someone was playing a joke on me when I first saw that MaObama won the Nobel Peace Prize. I was assured by Bug that I was not hallucinating, that indeed Obama had won it, and not only that, but nothing he has done, but for what he will do.

To that extent, I have used an image for this post that shows the next contest Obama must feel that he has to win. So far he's gotten honoraria from universities, Nobel prizes, the presidency, and now he is going head to head with Jesus in a Messiah-Off Contest. Al Jazeera has the odds 3-2 in the Obamessiah's favor, according to their spokesman.

Clay over at BBCW proposes that if you want to smell like a Nobel Prize winner, you have to go with BO.

Dr. Dave at Feed Your ADHD tells us Obama is a shoe in for the 2010 Miss Universe Title.

Nickie over at Goomba News tells us MaObama is 3rd in the Heisman voting.

Our most pro-second amendment buddy, the inestimable Dr. John R. Lott has decided to gloss over the Nobel celebrations to concentrate on why women like feminine men.

And my pal Sharky, over at Land Shark 5150 was even more incredulous than I was about the nobel, getting a case of agita.

Tim over at LCR is all over the linky love, FMJRA, and the Nobel Debacle, all in one post. Thanks for the link Tim, I appreciate it, you are a friend of The Right Guy.

Eric at LR was a little late to the party, with the LP reaction. Where is Eric's outrage? With the moonshine tax, of course.

Then there is my buddy and fellow super hero against autism, B&G Fan at The Right Stuff, giving her unique and compelling opinion about the Nobama prize.

Right Klick is on the case, describing it as the 2nd biennial anti-bush award. How about anti-common sense award? Then again we should call it the mmm, mmm, mmm Obama award.

Last but not least, the Smitty and RSM team have been at it again with their prolific FMJRA and Linky love. While there was outrage at the contest results, The Right Guy was admonished for that post. God has spoken.

I am Back: Obama got the Nobel?

The first thing I saw on TV Friday morning after getting some sleep after surgery was that Obama won the Nobel. At first I thought the anestetic was playing tricks on me or the vicodin was, or may be Fox News was doing a practical joke. Nope...

Obama winning the nobel is just another example of social promotion. You ask why? Well, for one, the closing date for nominating someone for the nobel prize was 11 days after his inauguration. Exactly what did he do in 11 days to deserve this prize? Absolutely nothing.

Most recipients, particularly in the sciences, don't receive their award until they are dead or nearly so, having spent 40, 50 or more years in their discipline.

What was Obama's discipline? Community organizer? One term senator? No wonder he won't release his academic records. We might find out what a fraud he really is. Curtis Sliwa says this is premature adulation for what he will do, according MaObama's supporters. What rubbish. How can you reward someone for what they might do? This is affirmative action and social promotion at it's very worse.

Obama Tries to Manipulate The Rightwing Press

The Politico and the New York Times both reported that Roger Ailes and David Axelrod met to discuss Fox News and it's rough handling of the president.

According to The Politicio:

The two met privately in Manhattan during the president’s visit to the United Nations.
The two discussed news coverage and the relationship between the organizations.

An FNC spokesperson tells POLITICO that Ailes and Axelrod had a “cordial conversation” over coffee while the president was in town.
Ailes is the founder of Fox News. A key part of Axelrod’s portfolio is the president’s image and broad message.

And further more:
White House officials have expressed pique with what they consider heavy coverage of Obama critics by opinion shows on the news channel.

Obama aides showed their displeasure by omitting “Fox News Sunday” when the president granted interviews last month to the other Sunday shows.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't there freedom of the press?Does this mountebank in the oval office think he has the right to manipulate the news? Is Axelrod just a softer version of Goebbels? While it states that they had a cordial conversation, I can't imagine Ailes showing apostasy and giving in to these fascist fools. Certainly "playing ball"will not garner better ratings, and will the promise of access, one hold true and honestly, is it worth it? Obama must be in deep shit if he's sending his Goebbel's out to parley with Ailes. I hope hope Roger thinks better of it.

The Difference Between Us and Them

If a conservative doesn't like guns - they don't buy one.
If a liberal doesn’t like guns - then no one should have one.

If a conservative is a vegetarian - they don’t eat meat.

If a liberal is - they want to ban all meat products for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat - he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.

A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual - they try to not force it on others.

If a liberal is homosexual - they loudly demand legislated respect.

If a minority is conservative - they see themselves as independently successful.

Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out -  he thinks about how to better his situation.

A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host - he switches channels.

Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer - he doesn’t go to church.

A liberal wants all churches to be silenced.
If a conservative decides he needs health care - he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that his neighbors pay for his.

Guess Who Visits The Right Guy Show Again?

Guess who has visited The Right Guy Show again? That's Right Terrance W. Gainer. Who is Terrance W. Gainer? Terry is the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate. If you click on the first link, you'll get an idea of what he does. This time he checked it from a Blackberry. He must be on the go. I guess someone told him about my latest Grassley post.

Well Terrance, not to worry. The Right Guy is going through a rebirth this week and we'll see a less snarky Right Guy. The truth is I find politicians just as mysterious as you probably find me, and Grassley is no exception, except that as a republican, I had the expectation that he would not be an old school democrat. I think they call that a RINO today. Please send Chuck my best.

... I hope I do not receive a visit from MiB, but we shall see. May be Grassley is pissed at this latest post. I'll keep you posted, again.

The Backstabbing Continues: Palin gets it from Steve Schmidt

Steve Schmidt and Bob Schrum throw Palin under the bus. Note to CNN, these guys are losers and sore losers at that. When was the last time Bob Schrum won anything? And Steve Schmidt? Look at how well McCain did. He's still a senator. If anything, this video shows where the dissension was in the McCain Campaign: With Steve Schmidt. I bet he was against picking Palin from the start and unconsciously and consciously sabotaged the campaign. Obviously his heart wasn't in it. All this serves as is to marginalize her before she really gets started. The Neo-Cons, and Country Clubbers on the right will be uniting with the Neo-Coms on the left to back the bus over Palin as many times as it takes to kill her political aspirations. All I can say is it is becoming neigh time for her to get on the horse and ride, or go home.

Libertarian Announces Candidacy For Governor in Iowa

Chris Cooper, Psychology Professor at ISU, announced his candidacy for governor. Chris is running as a libertarian.

Thank you for reading this blog.

Grassley: The Imperial Clown is at it again

Yesterday, I received an email from the Grasshole's office expounding on how he was doing everything he could to keep the healthcare reform bill from becoming government run healthcare.

Nowhere does it say that it isn't the governments purview to manage healthcare. In effect, with this bill, with or without a public option, the government will in effect be managing some of the healthcare system in this country.

It baffles me how politicians can make the distinctions between evil and evil light. Such are pragmatists that both want to show they are doing something for us and also controlling more and more aspects of our lives. Such a transfer of personal sovereignty also leaves me baffled as well.

According to Grassley, the healthcare industry makes up one sixth of the us economy. If this is true, LEAVE IT ALONE! The best he could do would be to reverse policies that have been set forth that have increase insurance premiums and forced insurance companies to ration healthcare and increase rates. He won't do this or even suggest it because there is nothing to offer or a matter of consideration for us. Again, bribery takes front seat.

One thing that should be done is allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines. Having a blue cross of Iowa and of NY makes no sense. It should be one company that competes for the who pot. Any insurance company should be able to compete in any and every state.

Another thing is pre-existing conditions. Making insurance companies insure regardless of pre-existing conditions raises rates. In fact NY has a pre-existing condition clause that when compared to NJ, which doesn't have one, the rates in NY are 2x what they are next door.

Yet another contention is the labeling. Lets be clear here: It's not healthcare we are talking about, but medical insurance. Moreover, it's about who pays the medical bills. Honestly, people have become to accustom to cadillac plans that cover everything. If anything, this should serve notice that socialization of medicine doesn't work, as it causes over utilization of the system because "it's free" and it takes the free market force out of the equation. People should be able to pay for regular doctor's visits out of their pockets and before any senior citizens or alleged poor rail against that statement, let me say, no one owes you anything. Services rendered should be paid in the standard currency. This will lower costs because doctors have to compete with other doctors based on cost, and it also reduces a doctor's overhead as they would have much less insurance paperwork to process .

Where medical insurance does make sense is for what it was originally intended: For catastrophic care. The cost of catastrophic care would bankrupt people and insurance is a reasonable way to mitigate that. It would also be cheaper than plans that offer to pay for everything.

Are we done yet? Clearly not. Pharmaceuticals are another area. Many people glorify countries that price control drugs. Really? Guess what? This raises the costs here. What most people do not realize is that American is the preeminent country for developing drugs and treatments, and by a multiple factor. It costs money to do this and even with patent protections, it takes years to develop drugs and years to pay for that development. Throw in the price controls and we end up paying for the cheap drugs in other countries and let me be clear here: Drug companies are there to make a profit, and that is a good thing. If you want cheaper drugs, everyone has to pay the same. This will bring down costs, as would extending the patent period by a couple years.

So what is the Grasshole offering?

During Finance Committee consideration of amendments, I won unanimous approval for an amendment that will improve access to medical care for seniors in Iowa and other rural parts of the country.  It’s getting harder and harder for seniors to find doctors serving in rural areas.  A large part of the problem is Medicare’s reimbursement policies that shortchange rural states. They act as a disincentive for doctors to serve these areas.  My amendment would remedy a problem that occurs today when  physicians in different parts of the country are paid different amounts for the same service or procedure.  This amendment addresses one aspect of the geographic disparities in physician payment, the adjustment for physicians’ costs in running their practices, by requiring Medicare to use more accurate and reliable data.  An accurate formula will provide more equitable physician payment because the differences in payments will be based on real differences in the physicians’ practice expense costs.  Part of providing greater access to health care is making sure doctors in rural areas are able keep their doors open to seniors in need of care.

First off, the bribe here is to seniors and I suppose rural doctors. How is paying doctors more in rural areas going to improve healthcare for seniors? Is a doctor going to refuse to treat someone based on reimbursement rate? Doctors may have differences in costs related to things like malpractice insurance rates and costs associated with doing business in that particular state. If Grassley wanted to really help, he's promote a low flat income tax for everyone, as well as tort reform to lower malpractice premiums. Such isn't forthcoming.

The real problem here is that Grassley has not changed very much is a bill that is over 1000 pages long. The public option is still on the table and here he's trying to save face (pun intended) by trumpeting some bullshit provision for seniors that won't make a hill of beans of difference to anyone, and anyone with an IQ over 110 should see this like blaze orange against a green background. He is still stuck in the we have to pass it just because we can't stop it so I'll throw some BS provision in it that will make my constituents think I am doing something for them when in fact I am not. Thanks mr Grassley, but again, you are feckless. Just like when you voted for TARP. Are you still looking for bankers to commit seppuku?

The problem here is we have a career politician who is more interested in being a politician than doing what is right. He may know that this fabian socialist fantasy of a bill is what it is, but he won't stand up. Well Chuck, it's time to go then and in 2010, I surely hope so. The only way to make Obamacare right is to kill the bill. If you can't, then help make people understand what it really means. May be that is the problem: Not even Chuck has read the bill. Unbelievable. How and why we elect these snake oil salesmen, I'll never understand.
