Where were you?

Where were you? Where were you in 2008, when America not only voted in the first black president, but the first socialist one? Where were you when they bailed out the banks that succeeded in neither bailing out the banks, nor fixing why the debacle happened and put us in peonage? Where were you when Obama's truth squads became a function of the Department of Justice and the congress passed a new fairness doctrine? Where were you when they came and took our guns away? Where were you when they told us our churches had to marry gays? Where were you when they implemented so many social programs that our tax rate surpassed that of Denmark? Where were you when they said that our children couldn't wear a Star of David or The Cross in school? Where were you when they said my son couldn't wear a flag pin because he might offend someone from another country? Where were you when the United States of America joined Canada and Mexico to form the north american union? Where were you when they destroyed our country?

You were too busy over-scheduling your lives, succumbing to the consumerism that is the new religion in this country,  and abdicating your responsibilities to your creator, to your country, to your family and to yourself to a central authority because you wanted to feel safe and secure. May the comfortable lifestyle for which you have traded your life and liberties suit you well in posterity and may the slavery, indentured servitude and peonage you have accepted in return be a light sentence as compared to the one you will see in hell, as we won't miss you.

IotW

The Idiot of the Week is... Senator Grassley. The man who thinks that forgiveness and acceptance is a bow away. He's also the man that voted yes for the pork laden bailout bill, with plenty of pork for the glad handing politician and the man who does not believe in separation of church and state, but rather the state is the church. Just like he believes banks need over sight, he believes churches do too. So congratulate Chuck on winning this weeks award. BTW, I found this picture as is on the internet. Nifty, isn't it?

Send this to the NAGs

Here is a video of Palin in California. I wonder if the NOW folks have seen this? Talk about eating their own words.

I just don't get it

Help me here. The Civil War has been over for over 143 years. The south lost. Period. So, why do some people, and you only seem to find them on conservative forums, have the confederate flag as an avatar or as an image in their signature? I was on a well known radio talk show host's forum today and I saw one. I usually don't comment, but I have to admit it bothers me. The confederacy represents slavery. According to this particular anachronorganism, the flag represents states rights. While southerners of the civil war context may have viewed slavery as a states right, hanging your opinion of being for states rights on the symbol of the confederate flag is like wearing a swastika because you appreciate the efficiency of the German railroads during the Hitler regime. I will be clear about this: There is no right to enslave, to own, to put in to indentured servitude, to put in to peonage any human being. It is morally, ethically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally wrong. Hanging an argument of states rights on the souls of human beings is wrong too, and the fact someone doesn't get it is more than amazing or incredible, it's despicable. May be these guys are white supremacists, it wouldn't surprise me. I can't think of any other group that would defend slavery.

Disenfranchisement

Well, now it stands and the bailout bill has passed. The fall of 2008 has demonstrated at last that the American people are disenfranchised. We are disenfranchised, and have been, because our elected officials pass legislation that is against what we want and/or against what is in our best interests. They created this monster with the CRA, Freddie and Fannie, and now they ask us to not only bailout Wall Street, but give them political cover as well. The arrogance of these plutocrats and aristocrats knows no bounds, and if that wasn't insult enough, the MSM has been part and parcel of a PR firm that is supporting any candidate that suits their political ideology, which is to the left of center. They have played favorites and it will haunt them in the future, as it has become quite the joke, almost a caricature of themselves. So en toto, we have been played like Pinocchio, puppets on a string for those that uscerp power and like to see the puppet dance. In essence, we have no vote, our influence is almost meaningless to the extent it only matters if it can be manipulated to and for the advantages of those that manipulate us. The difference between the two entities is that the MSM gets a kick out of it, as it is their bread and circus. Politicians are true gangsters and it really doesn't matter. They will sell their own flesh and blood down the river and we are mere acquaintances. Where is our Samuel Adams, Thomas Paine, and James Otis? We are a sorry lot indeed.

The Debate

Just a short note about the debate. I watched it through and I think they both did fine. Palin started off slow and a little stiff but she picked up speed and loosened up. There were too many arguments about the facts in regard to records, but they both finished well. Who won? I'll give it to Palin by a nose. I will also say I disagree with both candidates and party positions on some issues. Did it change my mind? No. Do I think less of either of them after this? No. I will say that I support John Lott's observation about Biden: I think he's a decent guy even if I disagree with him, which is more than I can say for Obama.

Right and wrong: How we were swindled by the banks, and the politicians

When you get right down to it, we've been had. The real reason behind Monday's defeat of the bailout bill was to send a signal to the senate to load up the bill with bribes so as to give members of the house pork they could bring home to contributing constituents, spread the political negatives around and give the leadership cover.  We've been played in the standard white hat/black hat game so the banks get taken care of as do the politicians. No more. There is enough of the blame to go around and pointing a finger on which party is responsible won't solve anything. So now we were played and there seems to be a mass conversion to yes votes for tomorrow's house vote on the bill.

Where I will place blame is on the two senators from my home state, Chuck Grassley and Tom Harkin. Both voted yes to this monstrosity of a rip off. What burns me to no end is the audacity, condescension and stupidity of Chuck Grassley. His suggestion that the American people would be satisfied if the leaders of the financial institutions publicly bowed in shame, as the japanese do with Rei. This is utter rubbish. What freaking methamphetamine delusion is he under? If they want to follow Japanese custom, Seppuku would be more appropriate and I would gladly serve as Kaishakunin, but I digress. Grassley's comment shows his utter disrespect and contempt for the American people. The word for him would be Naitsuusha, in which case, Seppuku would be acceptable and appropriate and again I would be proud to be Kaishakunin.

So Mr Grassley and Mr Harkin, you can fool us once and even twice, but next time we won't allow you the pleasure of it. I advise all Iowans to vote against incumbents until we get these buttholes out. They have proven themselves to be traitors, elitists, and men without honor that do no know right from wrong. Their condescending attitudes towards the American people should not be rewarded. We have rewarded them in the past for acting badly and this is what we have received in return. I pledge here and now to revoke my membership in the republican party and become an independent. Henceforth, I also pledge to NOT carry water for any political party. Ideologically, I will remain consistent as a classical liberal with objectivist leanings. There is only right and wrong. The battle is on.

We mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor?

The senate passed a monstrosity of a bill with more pork than an Iowa hog confinement. It's disgusting and shows the lack of gravitas on the part of the senators. If we are truly in trouble here, then get a bill through that fixes the problem, not adds to it. We have a bunch of self interested buttholes, Grassley and Harkin included, that have passed a bad bill. 451 pages? We need to hold these senators feet to the fire. In the last line of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson wrote what is in the title of this post. These fake, phony and fraudulent politicians have forgotten the meaning of those words and in their actions have demeaned them.

It is time for a new revolution, and one that does not include Obama or McCain. They both talk a good game and both voted for pork as well (Biden too). Where is the hope? Where is the change? It's all rhetoric. I call on my fellow Americans to kick these people out of office, as they have no honor and they have lost our trust. They do not deserve our respect or our vote. Let's get them out. Below is a list of Senators that voted no. Remember their names, as they have courage.

Barasso  (R)
Brownback  (R)
Bunning (R)
Cantwell (D)
Cochran (R)

The Nobility of Victimization: Extortion and Tribute as a Way of Life

I should really try to blame Steve Deace for this post, but I won't. This bailout rings of the nobility of victimization. What I mean is that today, to be a victim bestows nobility. The banks were a victim, the recipients of the loans they never deserved are victims, and even politicians are victims. The banks are victims of the CRA, and so are those people that got in over their heads. Politicians are victims because they are forced to take a stand on this bill and actually do something...or not. To understand the audacity involved, Barack Hussein Obama postulates that the people that acquired those loans were somehow tricked into it. He said they were tricked into buying houses. I will say it... that is total F@#$ing bullshit, in my totally authentic NY accent. And somehow this makes all the players in this play noble. Noble as in having or showing fine personal qualities or high moral principles and ideals. Somehow we owe them, it's our fault, not theirs, we have to bail them out. This is furthest from the truth. When people screw up, particularly with their own finances, They are responsible for it. There's nothing of high moral ideals or fine personal qualities in it and there isn't any of those qualities in those that stick up tax payers to pay the bill for it. To add insult to injury, these bad players are threatening us, yes threatening us with financial harm if we do not pay their extortion, pay the tribute in order to avoid mayhem. Unfortunately for them, instead of grabbing my ankles as they would like, it makes me get my back up. Blame it on my Neapolitan heritage. I won't do it. Today's world is getting away from me and the more I know, the less I understand. It reminds me of the American Revolution when Lord Cornwallis lost at Yorktown and surrendered to Washington. The British military band played "The World Turned Upside down".

If buttercups buzz'd after the bee
If boats were on land, churches on sea
If ponies rode men and if grass ate the cows
And cats should be chased into holes by the mouse
If the mamas sold their babies
To the Gypsies for half a crown
If summer were spring
And the other way 'round
Then all the world would be upside down!

Thank you to Steve Deace for pushing my buttons and thank you for reading this blog.

Has Sarah Palin been reduced to making coffee?

Where has Sarah Palin been? Has she been reduced to making coffee? This campaign has been running out of gas at various times, only to be re-energized by some stroke of luck. It reminds of Dole's campaign, and I have said that before. I have never had this sense of resignation among the party faithful, and not in an overt way, but very subtle way, since Dole. There seems to be an attitude of playing out the hand , knowing your going to lose anyway. I hate admitting it, but it has a ring of truth for me. So where has Sarah been? Is she making coffee for the senior senator and giving him alcohol rubs? Here is a young, dynamic, smart, articulate, and beautiful woman that can hit what she aims for. Whoever is running McCain's campaign needs to be bitch slapped and kicked off the island. They are doing him and her a disservice here. She needed to be turned lose soon after her nomination and let her have at it. Someone should also tell her that if she doesn't know, say that. That's ok. No one has all the answers. No matter what happens November 4, she has a bright future. McCain is in the November of his career and it shows. I hope, at the very least, this serves as an example of how and why primogeniture does not work in the republican party. It didn't work in 1996, and it won't work now.

IotW Update

Added to the list for Idiot of the Week is Barack Hussein Obama for his comment that people were tricked into buying homes. This is the same Barack H. Obama that represented people in a class action lawsuit against Citibank for redlining, which of course led to the CRA, but I digress. How do you trick people into buying a house, particularly if standard banking practices were applied, shouldn't qualify for it? The truth is, they thought they were getting over in getting a mortgage, and knew damn well that the CRA was doing it's magic. O'Stymie is either a hypocrite or an Idiot, and this week he is nominated as an Idiot. Lucky for him, the week is still young.

Update: Added to the list is John McCain and Co. for not realizing that Ifil is coming out with a pro O'Stymie book in January vis a vis Ifil being a moderator in the VP debate.

IotW list:
David T. Meyers
Barack Hussein Obama
John McCain & Co.

Gwen Ifil: Lackey or ...

Gwen Ifil's role as debate facilitator is insane. Why not just have Oprah or Michelle Obama moderate the debate? Ifil has something at stake here: she has written a book, The Age of Obama. If he winds, she stands to make a lot of money. I wouldn't be surprised if Gwen sang back up for "Singing for Change" or is a member of Obama's Truth Squad. Whatever the case, having a lackey moderate the debate is the height of incestuous journalism. Goebbels would be proud.
