Obviously the requirement for being a US Senator have dropped precipitously in the last few years (As has for the president). At this point, I'd be over-qualified, but I am sure I could do better than this maroon.
Thank you for reading this blog.
I used to believe that as human individuals, we are born into this world with natural rights that are inviolate: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Property or Happiness. Now we’re on the downhill slide after reelecting a malignant and grandiose narcissist who will run this country into the ground. The folks who used to be conservatives that I knew have gone full-on fascist, appealing to their own unqualified biases and fears, and put us on the road to destruction.
The picture at left is a shot a volvo going through its convulsions after having sodium silicate added to its oil. This is the process that dealers use when they take in cars for cash. The sodium silicate causes the engine to seize. They have to destroy the engine before it is crushed, so nothing will be useful from it.
The Swedes are totally fucking nuts, even if you ignore them giving Al Gore the Nobel Prize. Lets start out with Item 1: Swedes are afraid of a commercial. You know, how has such a country produced such a giant like Magnus Samuelson, yet are such wusses. Item 2: Refugees died after HIV misdiagnosis. So much for socialized medicine. Item 3: Woman, 32, found guilty of raping woman. I wonder if the gay rights crowd will champion this. Item 4: Woman affirmed right to smoke in own garden. Isn't nice that someone can actually have some personal sovereignty on their own property? I am shocked that such a progressive and socialist country like Sweden would affirm such a right. Imagine doing as you like on your own property. Then again, I am surprised anyone is allowed to own property there.

President Obama's rhetoric last night summoned the memory of "1984," George Orwell's novel of a nightmarish future -- where the slogan of the rulers is "War is peace; freedom is slavery; ignorance is strength."

TXDOT knew it was wrong. In June 2008, they put the wrong sign up. The 40mph sign should be 50mph sign. TXDOT told crews to fix it in August, but even with the help of photos and fancy word balloons, the road crew couldn't figure it out.
It was still there, still wrong, when this ticket was written in May 2009, over 10 months later. While TXDOT apologizes, they say their mistake doesn't really matter.
"Whatever the speed limit is posted is what drivers should follow. Even if it's wrong," said Baker.
Wow. I wasn't really sure if I got that, so I asked again and sure enough TXDOT says even if they get it wrong, twice, they aren't really wrong.
"The speed limit is what is posted along the roadway. It doesn't matter if it's the correct speed limit or incorrect speed limit," said Baker.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office agrees with TXDOT that, wrong sign or not, the cops are right.
"Those officers on the street go by what is posted," said Lt. Dan Norris of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
Not to be deterred, Gadus unearthed records showing at least 600 tickets were written in the area of the wrong sign, maybe as many as 1500. For Gadus, a 30-year veteran cop by the way, that's way too many. Unless officers had a sinister motive.
"It looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a speed trap," said Gadus.
When asked about a possible speed trap, Lt. Norris replied, "No, not at all."
For all his work, a judge recently dismissed Gadus' wife's ticket. Now he's worried about the hundreds of other people who got tickets in the same place, but paid the fine because they never saw what he saw. . . .

Cook’s lawyer, Orly Taitz, who has also challenged the legitimacy of Obama’s presidency in other courts, filed a request last week in federal court seeking a temporary restraining order and status as a conscientious objector for her client.Note - LR Editor Eric Dondero contributed to this report.
In the 20-page document — filed July 8 with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia — the California-based Taitz asks the court to consider granting his client’s request based upon Cook’s belief that Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States and is therefore ineligible to serve as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Cook further states he “would be acting in violation of international law by engaging in military actions outside the United States under this President’s command. ... simultaneously subjecting himself to possible prosecution as a war criminal by the faithful execution of these duties.”

Blackburn, Campbell & Culberson now co-sponsors
Of note, on the Senate side, the Hon. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma has gone on record in support of such legislation in that body.

Neville Chamberlain Barack Hussein OBama or NCBHO, is on a world tour to curry favor with people that traditionally hated us. The Mountebank in Chief's latest efforts have been in patriadeprecation, patronization and naive arrogance in an effort to start his path to Secretary General of the UN or President of the World. Aside from defining our country as being a muslim and his apologizing for things he or I or anyone I know ever did, he decided to tell Benjamin Netanyahu what he had to accomplish and by when.
I am sure someone out there will accuse me of being an aphorist, but it's hard not to be when there are such good aphorisms. Have you ever heard Steve Jobs say, " Jeez, ya know a Mac is way over priced, even if if it is the best", or Bill Gates say, "Windows is a stinking operating system that should have been scrapped long ago" or better yet, Joe Torre exclaiming how bad the Yankees suck while accepting the World Series Trophy?
