The letter from Steve to his employees:
Team,
I am sure all of you saw my letter last week sharing something very personal with the Apple community. Unfortunately, the curiosity over my personal health continues to be a distraction not only for me and my family, but everyone else at Apple as well. In addition, during the past week I have learned that my health-related issues are more complex than I originally thought.
In order to take myself out of the limelight and focus on my health, and to allow everyone at Apple to focus on delivering extraordinary products, I have decided to take a medical leave of absence until the end of June.
I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for Apple’s day to day operations, and I know he and the rest of the executive management team will do a great job. As CEO, I plan to remain involved in major strategic decisions while I am out. Our board of directors fully supports this plan.
Steve

I wish Steve Jobs the best and hope for a full recovery, but I can't help feeling the old boy took on a fight he can't win. He just looks like hell and hasn't looked well in a long time and I have to wonder if he's known all along and was waiting for the right time to bow out. Steve is Apple Inc, and I can't imagine Apple without him. All I can say is get well Steve, and we'll see you when you come back.
Thank you for reading this blog.

Bloody hell Right Guy, this is the first visit I have made to your site and this post was a shock until I saw the date on the top.
Steve is a guy I very much respect.
In retrospect, Steve was a lot more sick than he had let on and that we knew. I am a computer professional with over 15 years Mac experience and I have been using the platform for 22 years. I like Steve too even though politically we would have our differences. I wish him a long life.
