The Second Amendment

Here is something I expect to be under attack soon by BHO.  H/T to TooMuchTime for turning me on to this after I regaled him with the story of my 13 year old son's social studies teacher using the Simpsons to explain the second amendment.

Iowa National Guard Calls Off Civilian Exercises

The Iowa National Guard was supposed to have civilian exercises where they were going to door to door asking questions in search of an "arms dealer". Isn't that the job of the ATF? Could this signal as a test as to the end of Posse Comitatus? It seems seems that BHO likes to run test balloons with everything. It's a real bad idea to have the military do law enforcement work. Their rules of engagement are very different from law enforcement and our idea of civil rights do not exist on the battlefield, and should not. Read about it here. Who told you so?

Most Americans are Dumb Aholes

Glenn Beck reported today that most Americans support socialism, according to a Fox Dynamics poll. According to the poll, 68% say the government should provide food, 66% said the government should supply paid Healthcare, 52% said the government should supply Housing, and 51% said the government should provide jobs.

I don't even know where to begin as to why. Is it because we have become so lazy that we believe nothing should be earned? Is it because our socialist education system has indoctrinated our youth to the point where socialism is now acceptable? Is it because life has become so facile for Americans that they have lost touch with what it takes to make it?

The answer is that it doesn't matter why. We now have a president who is the 21st century version of FDR, and for those that are Basso Cantante, that is Franklin Delano Roosevelt. One, BHO believes in socialism and socialism as the answer to racial and economic inequity. Two, BHO is moving to amass the power to create a socialism hegemony in this country such that our country will bear no recognition by it's founders or anyone born before the last quarter of the 20th century. This dictator is taking us down a road Josef Stalin wished he had but never could. Where is the fight? Where is the indignancy against  second handers, against facile dupes that enjoy their bread and circus, against those that care only about power? Where is the revolution against a dictator that will enslave us all? I only see it in a small percentage of the population engaged in any way. What we have in the republican party leadership now are people more focused on attaining the same power instead of preaching the message of freedom and responsibility. They are little better than what we have in the white house now. We need real people to stand up, who aren't tools for Team Geppetto, who aren't looking for celebutards to lead them, who demand real change and leave hope for those that are hopeless. If we do not do it now, we are screwed for longer than any of us will be around.

Monkey See, Monkey Do Xanax and Maul Woman

In a country gone mad with socialism, we finally have our bread and circus to take our eyes off our getting bent over the stove. Travis the demented chimp went on a rampage and ripped the face off it's owners best friend, and possibly her fingers as well. Chimps are known to bite off faces, genitals, and digits when they attack. The owner told reporters that she had given the pissed off primate xanax some time before the attack because he was agitated. Some people are stupid, and get what they deserve. Had this dope been attacked instead of her friend, I would have nominated her for the darwin award. You can't expect good things to happen when a 200lb chimp attacks. If you don't believe me as to how stupid this woman is, who calls the cops on 911 and asks them to shoot the animal while she is on the phone. WTF? Like they can do it over the phone. Such cases show the uselessness of 911, also known as dial a prayer. To make matters worse, the idiot, probably half-assed, stabbed the monkey with a butcher knife. Unless you pierce a vital organ like the heart or brain, such methods are futile on hostile creatures. Better would have been a glaser saftey slug from a .45 in the sternum. Mr Bojangles would have been made room temperature at that point. The only thing missing from this absurd drama is Barack Hussein Obama. I am sure there is something in the stimulus bill for irate chimpanzees. Hope and Change Travis, Hope and Change.

Stimulus?

Barack Hussein Obama has his bowels in an uproar over the fact that the republicans (and the American People) are holding back their support for this bill. Each party involved has their own priorities in this fiasco, so lets take a little closer look at them.

President Obama has to pay back a lot of people for his getting into office. The only people that are being stimulated by this bill are people that supported BHO and people that work for the government. Look at the subsidies promised to ACORN for example. We will pay billions to this corrupt organization because they committed fraud to put another fraud in office.

The democrats in congress want this bill to go through as is because one, like republicans, and most politicians, they want to make it look like they are doing something. call it busybody disease if you will. If they aren't doing something, no matter how feckless on one hand or outright corrupt or insane on the other, they feel they aren't doing their job. What they don't realize is that the less they do on our behalf, the better off we would be. The other MO for the democrats is that they are in on the BHO group think to move us towards socialism. Look for items in the bill that pertain to healthcare, welfare and education. Yet another reason for the pork is just because they feel they can do it.

Now, with the republicans, the figure they can make political hay out of this by not supporting the bill and letting it hang on the democrats neck like an albatross. The problem is that too few of them truly agree with common sense americans that the bill is horse shit and they suffer from the same busybody disease as the democrats. They look at polls and judge how long they have to appear to fight the bill to get the greatest benefit all the while back room negotiating for the pork and earmarks they can believe in. Just like TARP, they will get on board when they have been bought off cheaply.

There is next to nothing in this bill that will get us out of any recession or depression. In fact, it will makes things worse. This quote has been making the rounds lately and I thought it would make a good lesson for our ersatz president: "You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it". This has been attributed to Dr. Adrian Rogers, although I have my doubts. Still, it rings true, and right now, Mr Obama and his cadre of socialist mountebanks are preparing to implement not only unwanted and feckless obligations, but obligations for which all of us will be in peonage for quite some time to come.

Right now it doesn't look good. My guess is that the republicans will fold because they don't want to been seen as feckless for doing nothing, so they will barter for their own pork. Right now, the best we can hope for is a change in voting habits in 2010. I have to wonder if there aren't several million people right now wondering why they voted for this incompetent hope and change freak from Chicagoland. Right now we are stuck with this double talking charlatan and his equally tergiversating distaff.

Michael Steele: Meet the New Boss, Same as the Old Boss

According the Steve Deace and the Washington Post, "Michael S. Steele, the newly elected chairman of the Republican National Committee, arranged for his 2006 Senate campaign to pay a defunct company run by his sister for services that were never performed, his finance chairman from that campaign has told federal prosecutors."

First off, sinecure is just another political and government job category. Secondly, I told you so. We keep picking the same corrupt assholes in leadership positions. May be Steele gets his advice from Charles Rangel. To pararephrase Clint from his most recent flick, would it fucking kill you to elect someone clean, honorable and honest? I have to say I am sick of the leadership on the right. They keep doing the same things over and over and expect a different result. Not only that, they lie to their members and tell them they are doing things differently. The republicans have turned in to a party of hypocrites. They say one thing and do another. At least the democrats are unabashed in their socialism and corruption. As H.L. Mencken Said, it's time to raise the black flag and start slitting throats.

Review: Gran Torino

I went to see Gran Torino last weekend and in many ways it was worth the wait. In other ways it was a departure from Eastwood's movies like Josey Wales, or Unforgiven in that he ends the movie differently and there is an element of sacrifice not usually seen in the way it is in Gran Torino. This is not a shoot em up flick like Dirty Harry or Death Wish. Not all all. Characters are developed and there is a plot, and plenty of subtleties that Eastwood likes to dabble in, so pay attention if you see it. I won't give the whole plot away, but the protagonist Walt is an anachronism, old school if you will. At times I thought his simmering character was close to over the top, but in the context of who he was, and I have known people like that, it was believable. The saddest part of the movie for me was how utterly self-centered and self-absorbed his children and grandchildren were and the triumph was the love he felt for the immigrant family living next door. The humanity he showed at times is something we haven't seen in younger and more violent versions of Clint and his movies. While I wish he would do something along the lines of Dirty Harry and close the book on it, this was a wonderful and at times poignantly truthful movie that was well worth the price of admission.
