People Coming to Their Senses in Indonesia

Just a month after unveiling a bronze statue of "Little Barry", Indonesians have petitioned to have the statue torn down.

From AFP:

The statue of "Little Barry" -- as Obama was known when he lived in the capital in the late 1960s -- stands in central Jakarta's Menteng Park, a short walk from the US president's former elementary school.
Critics say the site should have been used to honour an Indonesian and 55,000 people have joined a page on social networking website Facebook calling for the statue to be removed.
"We've been discussing for the past two weeks what to do with the statue... whether to take it down, move it elsewhere or retain it. We're finding the best solution," Jakarta parks agency official Dwi Bintarto said.

It's interesting that people are coming to their senses as to what Barry has done or not done. Here is a guy that has used his charisma and BS to attain political positions, but never stayed in them long enough to have anything negative attached to himself. A true charlatan and magician. Now we too have come to our senses and have realized that Barry is inept, incompetent, and a horrible hoax perpetrated on this country by the left. 2012 can't come soon enough.

Thank you for reading this blog.

I am glad Indonesians are seeing the light. It looks like Indonesians have more common sense than libs here in the U.S. Obama is incompetent and I can't wait until 2012 so we can kick his butt out of office.

I am with you on 2012. I want this mountebank out of office as soon as reasonably possible. He's done enough damage as it is. As I have said, this is his first job where he would be held accountable for his performance. In previous political positions, his terms were short, so he left no negatives. Objectively, this guy has done nothing. He's smoke and mirrors, and is in over his head. I use the word mountebank with good cause.

Did they put gang colors on Little Barry or what? Ask me about the Puerto Rican pride parade in Chicago sometime. Apparently flag poles are useful for gang violence after a pride parade.

It's the flag of indonesia, either that or the flag of Poland upside down. I never got into the colors thing in NY. It existed, but it was out of my realm. I can however tell you some interesting stories when I worked for a bail bond. Now that was fun. So how long before the Nobel Committee wants their prize back?

My Border Collie specialized in exerting his, shall we say, special talent in knowing what to do with cult of personality statues. Hell, he even urinated on the Peter DeFazio foot/bike bridge spanning
the Willamette River.
