While Rome Could Burn, Obama Picks Up The Fiddle

In a turn of events, we find out that Iran is building missile sites in Venezuela. That's right, the country in South America. Sound familiar? We've been here before, in 1962.

From The Jerusalem Post:

Iran is building intermediate- range missile launch pads on the Paraguaná Peninsula, and engineers from a construction firm – Khatam al-Anbia – owned by the Revolutionary Guards visited Paraguaná in February. Amir al-Hadschisadeh, the head of the Guard’s Air Force, participated in the visit, according to the report. Die Welt cited information from “Western security insiders.”

The rocket bases are to include measures to prevent air attacks on Venezuela as well as commando and control stations. 

The Iranian military involvement in the project extends to bunker, barracks and watch tower construction. Twenty-meter deep rocket silos are planned. The cost of the Venezuelan military project is being paid for with Iranian oil revenue. The Iranians paid in cash for the preliminary phase of the project and, the total cost is expected to amount to “dozens of millions” of dollars, Die Welt wrote. 

The Paraguaná Peninsula is on the coast of Venezuela and is roughly 120 kilometers from America’s main South American partner, Columbia. 

According to Die Welt, the clandestine agreement between Venezuela and Iran would mean the Chavez government would fire rocket at Iran’s enemies should the Islamic Republic face military strikes.

You have to wonder what Obama is doing? Basking in the afterglow of the Seals capping Osama while lighting up a Kool? Or is he planning another vacation to play golf for two weeks? This is very shocking news.  Of course it is nothing new. Obama has been fiddling while all sorts of nations have been pissing on the Monroe Doctrine. The Obama Doctrine is to turn the United States into a urinal for the rest of the world. So far he's succeeding.

Karl Rove Understands Business Management

Karl Rove understands management; There are two theories in management: A) Make the right decision or B) Make the decision and then make it right. According to The New York Times, "Karl Rove, the chief political adviser to President George W. Bush and architect of his two successful campaigns for the White House, says in a new memoir that his former boss probably would not have invaded Iraq had he known there were no weapons of mass destruction there." The question I ask is, was the president intentionally misinformed, or conveniently? My thesis on this expedition is that the administration used management technique B. This is not necessarily an indictment of W at all, but an honest observation.

It is possible that Saddam had the weapons of mass destruction shipped out of the country. Some assert the Russians and Syrians helped with this. If this was the case, then why not bring to light? Rove does "acknowledge that the failure to find them badly damaged Mr. Bush’s presidency, and he blames himself for not countering the narrative that 'Bush lied,' calling it “one of the biggest mistakes of the Bush years.” Then the question remains, did Rove intentionally misinform W?

Having worked in the private sector and I have seen many times when the boss or leader says the sky is red, and the yes men around him will assemble the evidence to make it so. So goes making a decision right. Too many people jumped on the bandwagon, George Tenet included, that should have done their due dillegence in this matter. My main objection is that of honesty. If you are going to do something, there is no need to trump stuff up. Be an adult and do what you have to do. Obviously, the Bush administration (again, not necessarily W, but his people) must have believed that they needed more to justify their agenda than just saying we want to do this.

Of course, with the victory at hand and with Obama carrying forth some of the same policies, it's easy to say, whatever, we won and it doesn't really matter. I would ask anyone, with a straight face, do you really believe that any presidential administration in this country would not have all the information, correctly vetted ad infinitum, before committing to war? I cannot believe for the life of me that these chaps either didn't know their weren't weapons of mass destruction or that if there was and I mean there was in such a way as there was intent on being used against us, that these weapons disappeared and that they cannot explain it. Why wouldn't they explain it? Rove doesn't strike me as such an incompetent. A plotter, a schemer, a guy that throws people under busses, but not incompetent.

I've said this all along: One, Rove, Cheney and Rice had a master plan for reshaping the middle east. Iran was seen as the real threat. They wanted to surround Iran with propped up democracies and countries that were influenced by us, thereby bringing pressure to both isolate Iran and force an internal revolution. The entry story for Iraq was just that, a story to get the job done to accomplish that agenda. I would have appreciated that kind of honesty from the Bush administration, but unfortunately, it wasn't and isn't forthcoming.

Guess Who Acts Like The Leader of The World?

I would say free world, but in this case, Putie doesn't see himself in that context and neither do I.


Reuters reported today that Putin warned against sanctions against Iran. Furthermore, he said this:

"There is no need to frighten the Iranians," Putin told reporters in Beijing after a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

"We need to look for a compromise. If a compromise is not found, and the discussions end in a fiasco, then we will see."

"And if now, before making any steps (towards holding talks) we start announcing some sanctions, then we won't be creating favourable conditions for them (talks) to end positively. This is why it is premature to talk about this now."

In another report at Breitbart:

"A top Russian security official says Moscow reserves the right to conduct pre-emptive nuclear strikes to safeguard the country against aggression on both a large and a local scale, according to a newspaper interview published Wednesday."

This is not only posturing, but a defining moment in US foreign relations under the Obama administration, where we find out who has the bigger stick. 

The pusillanimous POTUS, the Cacasotto in Chief has tried to assuage our adversaries and friends by being a sycophant knee groveling fabian socialist piece of steaming humanity. If he thinks, or believes that somehow he has curried favor with the likes of Putin et al, then he is not only mistaken, but put us in a position where not only don't we control the narrative, but we do not control the outcome, which is more important. 

Obama is too effete and naive to be the leader of the free world. He lacks the understanding of what motivates respect from the likes of Putin and he behaves like a nurdy fraternity pledge trying to curry favor with those that could easily destroy him. He is clearly out of his league, his element, and we are the worse off for it. 

Can we afford three more years of this? How about eight?

Bush The Cacasotto?

I never thought I would be calling Bush a cacasotto, but now I am. He denied Israel the ordinance and then the airspace to attack Iran's nuclear facilities, stating that covert operations would be better. Even Bush is afraid to pull the pin, or open the bottle and let the genie out, as it were. Basically, Bush has let both North Korea and Iran become nuclear powers. Thank you George Bush. Something I am sure the democrats will put in the plus column in the future.

Israel Attacks Gaza

Israel attacks Gaza in what has been described as the bloodiest days if conflict with the palestinians. What the press isn't telling you is that Hamas, which rules Gaza (and by the way, wants to impose sharia law), is backed by Iran, which wants to se and end to Israel through total destruction. Hamas has been rocketing Israel, unprovoked. On top of this, Israel has been pressured not to take action against Iran, whose nuclear development has been speculated to be used to create nuclear weapons to be used against Israel. What should Israel do? Every attempt to make peace with the people of Ishmael has never been viewed as enough by the palestinians. My assertion is that Hamas will not stop until Israel is dead and buried, and then they will not know what to do, so they will have to create a new enemy. 

Israel will be condemned for this, but as usual, when Hamas or any other arab faction commits acts against Israel that are wrong, none of the arab nations condemns them. If Hamas or any other faction wants peace with Israel, they must cease relations with nation that want Israel's destruction. If they do not, Hamas may unleash hell, but god's chosen people will win in the end.

Iran Will Have the Bomb in the Next Year

How will president elect Obama deal with Iran? He has promised that he will have open talks with Iran and Ahmadinejad, but at this point, what good will they do? Ahmadinejad has been stalling for years now and if he has a year or less before they have a bomb, he will surely stall until and beyond then. Complicit with this anti-semitic tyrant is China and Russia who have been giving Iran the technology and knowhow to make this happen. Some will argue that this is just a correction is creating nuclear balance in the middle east. I would assert that Iran is just another proxy in the fight between the communist powers and those of democracy. 

Just as Russia and China are aligning with countries in Central and South America too. The cold war didn't end with Reagan, it just took a nap. Putin, being an ex-KGB agent is an old, cold warrior. Watch him walk. He keeps his right hand at his side when he walks, near his imaginary sidearm. Here is a narcissist, may be even a socio-path that has been indoctrinated in an organization that is second to ruthlessness only to the Guoanbu and it's predecessor the CDSA, and he leads Russia. I am digressing here, but you really need to understand who and what is behind this. 

On the other hand, as crazy and Ahmedinejad is, I don't think he'll drop the bomb on Israel if he has only one, and even if he has more than one, I think he would only do it if the United States was weakened enough that it could not or would not respond. Another thing to remember is that other countries in the world do not think in short term as we do that usually coincide with election cycles. They will see things in terms of decades or even centuries. Still, with all this mess, islamo-fascism must be considered in the equation as well. Iran is a big supporter of AQ, and weapons could be distributed to terrorists and used that way. 

The long term goal of team Marx is to create an axis of alliances that are to the detriment of the United States and its allies. Some of them have different axes to grind with us, but it really comes down to two things: One, we are the preeminent capitalist democracy in the world. Competitors naturally want to knock off number one. Two, whether it is Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela or theocratic totalitarian states, they see the right of individual self -determination as anathema to their own philosophy and a threat to their power. The funny thing is that our defeat may not come directly from the hands of our enemies, but from within, through the continued socialization of our government and society. This is not by coincidence or chance though, but rather by design. I told you these people think in terms of decades. Sometimes change requires the patience of generations. They have it, we don't.

Israel: Unleashed or Under Foot?

With the perception of a weak President-elect, and Iran's continuing threat to peace in the Middle East with its development of nuclear weapons, look for Israel to assume a more hawkish position with regards to her enemies and her friends. Obama is not a strong supporter of Israel and dare I say he really isn't a supporter of the Jewish state at all. If Israel senses that they are going it alone, they will more likely take an aggressive posture. For the past several years, Israel has been somewhat restrained by policy in Washington and a liberal named Olmert as Caretaker Prime Minister of Israel and in all honesty, with regards to the Iran question, Israel has been suspiciously silent as well. With elections coming up in February, and depending on who gets elected, look for this acquiescence to end.

They're Back! Calling all Cold Warriors

For those that have been sleeping or living on the east side, it may be news that the Cold War is well on it's way to coming back. Russia, under ex-KGB Vladimir Putin's leadership has been building up to this for years. Russia has become an energy powerhouse, and has not been bashful in nationalizing foreign oil companies, taking assets that do not belong to them. Russia has also aligned with every enemy of the United States. In particular, China and Iran. China has also proven to be a supporter of Iran, both countries supplying Iran with technology to build nuclear weapons and selling Iran conventional ones as well. Shades of 1956 and 1968, Russia invaded the Republic of Georgia, so far having an easy rout. Lines are being drawn. Who will be our cold warrior? Bush is on his way out, a lame duck,  and Obama's tendency to play the Chamberlain role worries me. McCain is out there calling a reevaluation of our relationship with Russia. It remains to be seen who would be best to handle this, and McCain may get the nod here as Obama is too naîve, facile, feckless to take on Russia, Putin or China. With things brewing in Iran, the US being strung out in Iraq and Afghanistan, Russia is going to start setting the tone and drawing the line in the sand. It's critical we set the tone where we stand and not back down at this point, but not to get drawn in to something and get over extended.
