What's So Surprising About Barack Hussen Chamberlain?

Back in June of 2009, I wrote that Neville Chamberlain Barack Hussein Obama or NCBHO, was on a world tour to curry favor with people that traditionally hated us. The Mountebank in Chief's efforts have been in patriadeprecation, patronization and naive arrogance in an effort to start his path to Secretary General of the UN or President of the World. Aside from defining our country as not being a judaio-christian nation and his apologizing for things he nor I nor anyone I know ever did, he currently has decided to lay all our necks on the line by telegraphing our intentions in situations of the gravest extremes.

This is not surprising, as he has done this all along, but to weaken our country militarily and tell our enemies how we would not respond is tantamount to treason. It's not enough he's an anti-semite, it's not enough that he is a progressive socialist that wants to revise history to suit progressive theory, it's not enough he eschews and tramples the idea and every example of American Exceptionalism, but now he literally says to our enemies, come and take us. Such naïve ignorance is unbelievable from someone with such a high level of education.

Up until now, Obama's play book seems to be do the opposite of whatever Bush did. Such thinking does not automatically make a policy a good one. What Obama is doing is sticking to his principles in spite of the fact that one, they are not proven correct on any level and two, without regard to the consequences. He's writing a check that our asses have to cover, while he heads to the bunker at Camp David.

Obama has tried to fool people into thinking he is the ruler of the free world, and as he promised the Czechs that we will have a nuclear free world, he is marching towards that with the latest treaty with Russia and his statements on what we will do in the even of biological and chemical attacks. It really is a nice sentiment and I wouldn't mind it in some utopian ideal, but in a practical sense, it won't happen and may be it shouldn't. For starters, the cat's out of the bag, and you can't put it back in. Even if everyone dismantled every nuclear bomb that exists, the knowledge of how to create one still does. Someone, somewhere will have one again, and no one else will. Secondly, if you think China and Russia (or anyone else) will just give it up, I think you have to re-examine things. They both are on the UN security council and both would veto any UN non-sense to this effect. Neither would agree now or in the future to disarmament. They are not our friends, and never will be, no matter how much Barry tries to be Neville Chamberlain.

So what's it all about, Alfie? Obama probably has messianic visions of what he'd like to do, but as a Chicago politician, he'd rather get by on perception than reality, as reality requires too much work and is impractical. What is reality anyway? According to Paul Shanklin, Obama is a magician. Now we wait for his next trick, which could be amnesty, Cap and Tax, VAT, or whatever other socialist agenda you can dream up, only it's not a dream and Obama is more than a Magician, but a pathological narcissist. It's the audacity of foolishness.

The end game here is Obama being The One for the whole world. I think he truly sees himself as the answer for all problems, salvation for the world. In the end, it's about him, and he doesn't care about the United States, you or I or anyone else. So where does this leave us? In the position of having to fight every step of the way until his regime is no more. The first step is the elections of 2010. It's imperative we take back both houses. The second step is 2012 when we will repudiate him. Still, the damage will have been done. Can we make it right again? Will we?

Big Brother is Here:Google and NSA form relationship

I have been waiting for this for a long time now. Google is teaming up with the NSA in an effort to investigate and thwart cyber attacks and intrusions from external threats, particularly the Chinese. While this may seem patriotic on some level, Remember, the beast can be turned inward and usually is as some point.

Under an agreement that is still being finalized, the National Security Agency would help Google analyze a major corporate espionage attack that the firm said originated in China and targeted its computer networks, according to cybersecurity experts familiar with the matter. The objective is to better defend Google -- and its users -- from future attack.

What also bothers me is that one, Google is run by neocom progressive socialists. These guys make the big brother character that has been trademarked on Microsoft look like grandma's love. Two, Google had no issues int he past selling their soul to get into China. With the amount of information they have on us, and it's more than anyone thinks, it's a relationship I am uneasy with. Businesses aligning with government have a taste of fascism to me. What do you think?

Childcare, Chicom Style

The Daily Mail has released photographs from China of a child that was chained to a pole as a way of securing him while his father worked as a rickshaw driver.

From the Daily Mail:

They say they secured their son, Lao Lu, with a padlock around his ankle because his four-year-old sister Ling was 'stolen' from them last month.
Child snatching is rife in China, where strict laws govern the size of families.

Concerned passers-by spotted the shackled toddler outside Huaguan Shopping Mall in Liangxiang.

They reported his father to the authorities, who yesterday ordered him to remove the chain although it was not clear what arrangements he would make in future.

There is no nursery place for Lao Lu because his 42-year-old father is a migrant worker from another province, Szechuan, and therefore does not qualify for state help. The family live in one room, 9ft by 8ft.

I don't know what is more aberrant, chaining a kid to pole as a substitute for daycare or a country that tolerates child theft and won't give him any support because he's from another state in that country. I feel for the guy because he lost his daughter, I really do. This truly outlines the totalitarian nature of that country and the utter hopelessness of communism. I would also want to bring up that this is your hard earned money at work, for all those that support China and this sort of thing through their purchases at Walmart etc. All the cheap crap we buy doesn't go very far over their. I suppose you could say that it would be worse without it, but this is the best they can do? Some rising superpower. They have a long way to go to be a "civilized" country.

Empire State Building: Now the People's Industrial Building

Of all the fecklessness and pusillanimity of our current crop of politicians and leaders, The Empire State Building will be lit with the colors of the Chicom flag to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the despotic people's republic of China. This is such a fabian society fairy tale such that even if Ronnie were reanimated he'd be apoplectic at the sight. Every Korean War vet should be throwing brick bats at Bloomberg and Obama.

LCR has an article on it and you can post your distress there as wel as here if you like. Being an ex-NYer, I am both disturbed and nonplussed about this. On one hand, China is a totalitarian communist dictatorship turned quasi-capitalist dictatorship (can we say fascist?) that has been responsible for killing millions in the name of Karl Marx, Chairman Mao and his political descendants. China is anathema to freedom and liberty, and with this tribute, we basically show how utterly feckless we are. The people of Taiwan must be watching in disbelief.

Obviously, this is just another example of Obama's retrenchment from capitalism, democracy, and liberty. Not only does he not understand the concept of American Exceptionalism and eschew it, he repudiates it at every chance. Here is a man that will burn his own house down because he wants a new one instead of moving to a new house. I'll add to that he wants to burn down everyone's house. If any man in the presidency had a messiah complex, this guy has it.

So, what to do about this? Call, write, and/or email Mayor Bloomberg and the owners of the Empire State Building to protest this. Nothing may happen, but we must fight this enculturation of marxism, progressivism, and socialism in our society. Liberty first, liberty last.

Guess Who is the Totalitarian Socialist?

Jackie Chan, action star and multi-millionaire (Whose bulk of money comes from capitalism) thinks that people need to be controlled. He questioned the need for freedom, which defacto praised China's totalitarian regime. This isn't the first time he tried to warm up to the commies: In 2004 he questioned the results of the presidential elections in Taiwan, drawing praise from China and Ire from Taiwan. Of course this is from a man who can't keep it in his pants, and even has been accused of fathering children out of wedlock (and all but outrightly admits it). If you cannot trust someone in small matters, how can you trust them with large ones? May be Jackie should go back to China and become a compulsory organ donor. Anyone that makes excuses for countries such as China is an asshole in my book. Lick the boot Mr. Chan, lick the boot.

Russia to Help Venezuela with Nuclear Energy: Another oil rich country needs nuclear power?

Yet another oil rich country need to develop nuclear energy? It would seem that Russia has a penchant for helping theocratic and federal republics that are ruled by petty dictators attain nuclear materials for the purpose other than nuclear energy. Make no mistake, Chavez wants to be the first big bang power in South America. I believe he will be making some rather stark moves in the next couple years to not only establish Venezuela as the military power in South America, but also form alliances to undermine the United States and with Russia and China's help. The cold war never ended, the Russians just took a nap. Now that they understand that having the energy resources to leverage their power outside their borders, they will use it. Central planning did no good as they had no real power outside their borders. Now they do and the game is on. I envision a future where the US will form a North American Union, with Mexico first, to create a larger economic (through energy) power base, and Canada will Follow. Russia and China will continue to form alliances with Central and South American countries to form an anti-american base.  If Brazil or Chile are co-opted, then this will be something to have more than a passing curiosity. It's going to be interesting in the next 20 years.

China's Good Will Tour Continues in Cuba

China continues their latin american good will tour bringing with them 4.5 tons of humanitarian aid for victims of three hurricanes that battered Cuba in the past year. The aid totaled 2.5 million dollars. How parsimonious and niggardly of the Chinese. I would have thought that with all the tchotchkes we buy from Walmart et al, you'd think they could spring for a few pennies more. The Castroistas aren't easy, but they are cheap.

China Continues Inroads

China continues inroads into central america with the latest free trade talks with Costa Rica. President Hu met with Costa Rican president Oscar Arias. The price of such a meeting was Costa Rica giving up trade ties to Taiwan. President Hu headed for Cuba, it's communist ally in the region,  after the trip to Costa Rica.

The Current State of Things: At the crossroads

Right now we stand at a crossroads. We've elected our president, albeit the first black president in our history. It is not because he is black, but rather the perception of his values, political and social beliefs that have given cue to other leaders in the world to advance their positions that may be counter to our positions and benefit.

Our enemies and competitors see this as an opportunity to test Obama and promulgate their agenda. Look at China and Russia who are making alliances with despots in our own hemisphere. These alliances are being formed to undermine America's position in the world. When you see and read about how happy foreign leaders are that Obama is elected and how good it is that America can restore it's image, I have to ask, what is their real perception of our president?

Obama has stated as much that he wants to improve our image. A little of this is good, most of it seems politically motivated as if we need the approval of other nations to exist. The problem with politicians is that they are too concerned with what others think of them, and they wish to have everyone like them. This is faulty thinking that will get an executive in trouble quickly. Congressmen and senators are particularly at fault here as they do not have to make decisions for a country, organization, or state. Their positions involves wheeling, dealing and behind the scenes arm twisting and glad handing. While presidents can be involved in this, ultimately, they make or execute decisions they are responsible for that will make someone unhappy.

So if Hamas, Iran, Russia and China seem happy that Obama is elected and look forward to dealing with him, I have to say I look at it with a bit of skepticism. Even Chavez and Castro seem to be ebullient at his winning the election. I have to be suspicious when traditional enemies are happy with certain electoral results. They obviously see it as a weakness they can exploit.

As someone that did not support Obama in the election, one might say I want him to fail, particularly in regards to this. I would tell them absolutely not. This mentality has been the mantra of the democrat party for the last six plus years. They have shown that they would want us to lose the war in Iraq in order to gain political advantage. They are hardly the loyal opposition and as far as I am concerned, frauds because of it, and un-American. To that extent, where I believe America's interests in the world should be protected, and promoted, I will be behind a President Obama. If I disagree with him or his policies, there will be no mistaking it, but I will not cheer a position on that is against the United States which would cause us to lose in some way.

So which way do we go? My hope is that Obama, seeing the same challenges President Bush did, will stay the course where things are working and not try to reinvent the wheel. Where new territory is crossed, particularly with those that want to see us fail, and/or be less than number one, I hope President Obama make the right choices that keep us safe, secure, and still number one. I hope he does not take on the role of Neville Chamberlain or a Jimmy Carter, who are both losers in my opinion. It would be a nice feeling if everybody likes you, but it's naive and unattainable. I hope Obama follows Bill Cosby's advice in life: "I don't know how to succeed, but I do know how to fail; by trying to please everyone". Amen Bill, Amen, and whatever happens next, this will set the tone for the next 100 years. I hope Obama leads well, and makes the right decisions, rather than trying to make decisions right.

Harmony and the Dream: The collectivist nightmare perpetuated from the left on us all

In the New York Times this week, David Brooks discusses divisions in our society. Divisions that run deeper than economics, divisions that run all the way to perceptions. Mr Brooks simplistic, naïve and incorrect view can be deconstructed from the start. For some reason he juxtaposes democracy with authoritarianism, as opposites. That would be an incorrect assumption. The opposite of authoritarianism is libertarianism. Further on, Mr Books discusses the merits of a collectivist society. He believes that collectivists, using Asians as an example, see the world in terms of relationships as opposed to western individualists who see the world in terms of categories. He places the US and Britain on one end, China and Japan on the other. One of the benefits he lists is lower suicide rate. Really? I don’t believe the suicide rate in Japan is any lower than the US or Britain. Lets get to the crux of it. Brooks’ exuberance with collectivism stems from the coronation of Barack Obama as the democrat nominee and the possible future that represents. Obama talks literally in collectivist terms. It's a future where the government controls every part of your life, from cradle to grave. To the socialists and communists, this is music to their ears. But while I am on this talk of David Brooks, collectivism, and China, lets look at some facts. I would ask David Brooks how collectivism worked out for Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and the millions of other Russians that died or were imprisoned in the gulag archipelago. I wonder how collectivism was such a great thing for the thousands of people that were killed in Tiananmen Square, their bones crushed into the pavement by the tanks, their blood paving the way for Brooks’ collectivist utopian China. Lets talk about Stalin, and the millions of people he had killed; so many that the number may never be known, but it is in the tens of millions for sure. Brooks’ opposition to an individualistic society is based on the assumption that it is an illusion. The inescapable fact that even Brooks cannot escape is that individualist societies do better economically.  The reason for this is that anyone can make it if they work hard. Expectations can be set high. May be the underlying reason he sees harmony in collectivism is that it destroys the individual and causes people to have low expectations. People living under such conditions do so without a lot of hope. Couple this with the nihilistic materialism that exists in such cultures, the totalitarian regimes, one can understand the low expectations and “harmony” that exist. I would also posit that if such collectivist harmony is such a great thing, then why do people flock here? I see no one flocking to China. It’s simple: the Chinese are not free. No matter the economic success China makes, it will be on backs of those in veritable peonage. Mr. Brooks, let me tell you a little secret. People want to be free. Free to believe what they want, free to say what they want, free to do as they want, free from the government killing them if they disagree, or possibly worse, being re-educated and shipped off to the far ends of the country. I would bet my life savings that if all Chinese people saw how people lived in the US, I bet they’d rather live here too. What isn’t an illusion Mr. Brooks, is that you would have us emulate their collectivism, which is conformity at any cost. The price we would pay is incalculable.

They're Back! Calling all Cold Warriors

For those that have been sleeping or living on the east side, it may be news that the Cold War is well on it's way to coming back. Russia, under ex-KGB Vladimir Putin's leadership has been building up to this for years. Russia has become an energy powerhouse, and has not been bashful in nationalizing foreign oil companies, taking assets that do not belong to them. Russia has also aligned with every enemy of the United States. In particular, China and Iran. China has also proven to be a supporter of Iran, both countries supplying Iran with technology to build nuclear weapons and selling Iran conventional ones as well. Shades of 1956 and 1968, Russia invaded the Republic of Georgia, so far having an easy rout. Lines are being drawn. Who will be our cold warrior? Bush is on his way out, a lame duck,  and Obama's tendency to play the Chamberlain role worries me. McCain is out there calling a reevaluation of our relationship with Russia. It remains to be seen who would be best to handle this, and McCain may get the nod here as Obama is too naîve, facile, feckless to take on Russia, Putin or China. With things brewing in Iran, the US being strung out in Iraq and Afghanistan, Russia is going to start setting the tone and drawing the line in the sand. It's critical we set the tone where we stand and not back down at this point, but not to get drawn in to something and get over extended.
