So, I hope we're planning to do the same thing when Obama is replaced by Sarah Palin in 4 years.

Every good turn...

On one hand, as a matter of decorum, we should abstain from such practices, but then Bush did that and it made him a feckless dolt with a kick me sign on his back. Palin, Jindal, you or I, it'll be much more fun. Dick Morris thinks Obama will screw it up, giving us the break we need. THe sad part we will be saddled with irreversible social programs. If there was ever a time I wish there was magic, it is now. I wish I was in Obama's place. It would be like nothing anyone has seen...And that's why there is no such thing as magic...

I deeply dislike Dubya. I couldn't wait to see him out. But I don't think it was appropiate to treat him like that.

Then again, people are entitled to publicly express their dislike of a politician that suposedly represents them.

There's a certain decorum when you are president. For the rest of us, I think anything goes. FWIW, Bush has at least been cordial, polite, and generous with Obama. I just think he could return the favor. His arrogance really bothers me, as it is not founded on substance. He reminds me of Macho Camacho, who ended up getting an excellent education from Julio Cesar Chavez. Now we will see what Mr. Obama is made of an what is in his heart.

Obama has also been cordial to Bush.
Obama suporters have not been cordial to Dubya, and Dubya's supporters are certainly not being cordial to Obama...

He wasn't in his speech...

Bush wasn't president then ;o)
But I get what you mean. I guess the best I can say is that he really moderated his criticism of Bush...

Traditionally, outgoing presidents do not criticize the new ones and vise versa. Clinton broke with that, and I think it's a bad precident. At least give the guy a chance to screw it up. On the other direction, it shows bad form considering Bush was more than cordial to the Obamas. I think someone would say it shows a lack of breeding, but I don't play on that level. I come from common folk. May be that's Obama's problem? Harvard can't fix everything.
