Opt Out: The Private Sector Steps In

In an interesting turn of events, one airport has decided to opt out of TSA screening. Orlando's Sanford Airport has decided to go private:

"All of our due diligence shows it's the way to go," said Larry Dale, the director of the Sanford Airport Authority. "You're going to get better service at a better price and more accountability and better customer service."

You have to wonder why, and it doesn't take long to figure out. Disney is in Orlando and with the backlash against the TSA and flying in general because of the TSA, Disney must see lost revenue looming from this. In a bad economy, losing business is not an option.

The lesson from this is that capitalism and common sense solve a lot of problems. Some may say this is solely for perception, but perception is everything when it comes to public relations and sales. So far a political solution doesn't seem possible until the new congress comes in January. Until then, expect the incoming crown to create a plan that hopefully fixes this. My hope is that our next congress is a GSD congress. Get Shit Done, and I don't mean in the style of what we have lived through in the last 2-3 years. The democrats have lived and acted at their peril and have netted the results. The good or bad thing depending on which side of the toilet bowl you pee is that they have doubled down in nominating Pelosi the minority leader. I am digressing a bit, but we are seeing a populace standing up and saying they have had enough of the Nanny state and they aren't going to take it anymore. Rebellion can be a good thing. It keeps the assholes in our lives in check.

Pelosi Is The Anti-Christ

By Jim Hoft, Gateway Pundit

This is turning into some horrid science fiction movie, only were suffering through this in real life.
Pelosi says the Dem-socialists are one pillar away from destroying America.
The radicals are going to ram through cap-n-tax next to save life on earth from non-existent global warming climate change.
Holy crap.
The Hill reported:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) said the Democrats are one bill away from completing President Barack Obama’s “blueprint for American prosperity.”

“We have passed two of the three pillars in the historic healthcare and education reform and are working towards a clean energy and climate agenda in Congress,” Pelosi said in her remarks to the California Democratic Party state convention in Los Angeles on Saturday. “And essential to prosperity for middle-income Americans is reining in Wall Street.”

“The House has passed Wall Street reform, and working with our colleagues in the Senate, we will ensure that never again will those who are reckless on Wall Street make people jobless on Main Street,” she said.

During her speech, Pelosi singled out several members of the California delegation who were in attendance. “We must reelect and retain the extraordinary leadership of my colleagues in Congress who are here today,” she said.

Dems take more step in political suicide

The Vampiress Bella Pelosi & Co. have passed a bill to make permanent the 45% estate tax.

The estate tax in this case is 45% for estates from 3.5 million to 7 million. While you may think this is a lot of money, guess again.

Imagine a farmer that has been farming his families land all his life and it has been in the family for 100 years. When he dies, the property is part of his estate. Farms in Iowa can be 500, 1000, even 2000 acres. Even a 500 acre farm anywhere near a metro area or in an area with good soil could be worth 1.5 million easy. Now the government will want 45% of what has already been taxed, in terms of property tax, income tax and other taxes. Even someone from the suburbs of Long Island may have saved all their long life, and when they died, their home and assets could easily go into the millions, especially if they have a family owned business. Again, the government double and triple dips here, stealing from the people, and we haven't even mentioned state estate tax.

The consequences do not end there. Ask Warren Buffett, who has made many millions by taking advantage of this. This predator has purloined many family businesses from from the estate tax because the survivors couldn't afford to pay it and he got the businesses at a fraction of their worth by taking advantage of the tax laws and people's situation. Now wonder he supports the estate tax.

The real deal here is the Vampiress and her cohorts are further digging a hole for themselves come 2010. While Bella is in good form because she runs from the people's republic of California, her fellow dems will not do so well. At the very least she will lose the speakership. May be this is the silver lining of Obama getting elected: By allowing the flower of socialism to bloom, people smell the stench of the feculent flower and are now out to get the 2-4-d and be done with it. With the GOP in for 8 years, the dems always had a foil to blame for what wasn't working. Now that we get to see the results of their corrupt and feckless philosophy in a very short time, people will finally understand, come to their senses and choose a better alternative to the status quo.

What Don't They get?

What don't they get? The majority americans don't want government healthcare, they don't want the public option, yet they congress is bent on passing a bill that contains all of it? Are the Democrats that suicidal that they want to throw their jobs under the bus?

No, they don't, as politicians will do anything to get reelected. Either they are delusional and think this is what we want, or more likely, they see it as an opportunity that will not come again. They know as time goes on, people will become more disenchanted with the democrats and Obama and this is the only chance they can do it before 2010.

This is in part a fabian socialist agenda as it is incremental socialism, and they also know that once a bill is passed, it is very difficult to take it back. Remember the great society? The gun control act of 1968? The creation of HEW?  Go back to the IRS... Politicians, specifically those on the left have been practicing this incrementalism for over 90 years. Every inch they take we never get back. At this point, I hate to say it, but our only recourse is the SCOTUS. Why all these government programs haven't been challenged before, particularly that we have had enough center right members on the bench to make headway. My only guess is that it wasn't important to the Bush administration, which proved itself to be more socialist in some ways than the clinton administration.

At this point I am not hopeful, even if the GOP and/or 3rd party candidates unseat incumbents in 2010. It will be interesting to see how Doug Hoffman does, and the governor race in New Jersey. These will be the test to see what may come. I hope it is something better.

Quid Pro Quo

Pelosi and Company are going out on a spending spree, bailing out banks and now the automakers. I have one question: What will the price of this be? Obeisance, complicity, or indifference? What will Ostalin and his cohorts want in return? A good question. Anyone want to take a stab at it before I do?

The Fairness Doctrine: Should we be concerned?

The Fairness Doctrine is a real concern for those that speak to the issues from the right. The resurgence of talk radio began when the fairness doctrine was removed. The Fairness Doctrine was a policy of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that required the holders of broadcast licenses both to present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that was (in the FCC's view) honest, equitable, and balanced. The fairness doctrine was in force between 1949 and 1987 when it was unanimously was abolished by the FCC, but it must be said that it had been under attack and challenged in courts for several years previous. Currently, Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin, and John Kerry support bringing it back. For more information, read here.

Who is acting in OUR best interests? Bush et al are the judas goats

Currently, the White House and Congress are working together to solve the financial crisis we are in because of the mortgage debacle. More time has been spent on policy that is based on politics, meaning, how can the politicians get the most benefit out of whatever they do in terms of popularity, votes, and ultimately money and of course power. The Vampiress Bella Pelosi, Howdy Doody George Bush and Uncle Fester Paulson are playing the part of the Judas Goat, leading us to the metaphorical slaughterhouse of socialism. It is no different than Al Gore preaching the world is coming to an end because of man caused global warming. He too is the Judas Goat that wants to lead us into the depths of socialism and global government. These characters are not acting in our best interests, they are not representing the American people in good faith, and they certainly do not have the fortitude to do what is right if they know what that is. A lot of people feel that the average american is getting screwed because the banks are getting bailed out and citizens are not, as with Wall Street vis a vis Mail Street. This is off the mark. People that are irresponsible, need to be accountable, and they have to demonstrate some form of trust. Just as someone seeks forgiveness and does not demonstrate true reconciliation through acknowledgment of their sins and living in way that shows they are not making those same mistakes, If banks and individuals continually have their hand out and make the decisions and mistakes we have witnessed time and time again, then we must not bail them out. Wall Street has not earned our trust, individuals that are looking for a hand out have not earned our trust and the politicians have not earned our trust, not only by their actions here in writing a check that our collective asses will have to cover, but in creating regulation and legislation that helped bring this about. None of the bad actors here are stepping forward with any type of mea culpa, and earnestness in making it right. They just want to make it look like they are doing something, take credit for it and leave us the bill. This just sucks. Thank you comrades Bush, Pelosi, Paulson et al. Please go to central committee and pick up your red berets.

Since when is a minority a majority? Ask the vampiress yourself

It seems that house democrats are blaming the latest impasse with the bailout bill on the house republicans. Yes, you heard that correctly, the house minority republicans. Since when can a majority not pass a bill? How lame is it for the sanguineness one on the capitol hill? Perhaps she needs to take another bite to find blood? May be she should start with her own. So now what we have here is an economic problem that is in search of a political solution. Good luck. Shakespeare only got it half right with his admonition against lawyers: he should have included politicians. But then again, the majority of politicians seem to be lawyers anyway.

Hypocrisy, Abortion, and Christianity

I was thinking today, which is always a dangerous and perilous venture, about Bristol Palin and all the hubbub with the Neo-Coms over the Pro-Life values of the Palin family. A lot of people ascribe to be Christian, yet find a way to say they are pro-choice and come away thinking it is somehow compatible. I am sure you have read with wonderment of the brouhaha with the Vampiress herself, Bella Pelosi, go through convoluted logic trying to justify her pro-choice stance as Roman Catholic. Anyway, I just want you to know that while it is possible to take a pro-life position from a secular standpoint, it is impossible, as a Christian, as a Jew, or as a Muslim, to be pro-choice and be consistent with your religion. This is not a judgement, it’s a fact. At the very least, be honest and tell me you are picking and choosing what  you believe and what you do not. Of course the Neo-Coms have plenty of company in this area, some of which are even “reverends”, like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. It was their cost of entry into the temple of the Neo-Coms. So if you are pro-choice, at the very least be intellectually honest and tell the truth.

Vice President ?

The word is out that Obama will announce his VP Tuesday morning. So far, Bayh, Biden, Clinton, Kaine, Kerry and Nunn have been tossed around as possibilities. I am surprised someone hasn't thrown in The Swimmer from Massachusetts,  or the Vampiress herself, Bella Pelosi. I don't think Kerry or Clinton would want to play second fiddle, the former having run and failed for the presidency and the latter still vying for it. Make no mistake, Hillary still wants it. In fact, it would be a good idea for Obama not to have her as a running mate considering the long list of dead bodies behind the Clintons.  Whoever it is, I hope they are more entertaining than Barack "Stymie" Obama. After the Rick Warren Show, Bernie Mac would be an improvement over the purpose driven cardboard cutout.

Prophet Pelosi: The Messiah has come

At a California fundraiser, Nancy Pelosi declared that Obama is "a leader that God has blessed us with at this time", according to Politico.com. Pelosi, must be having delusions of being the second coming of John the Baptist, paving the way for the new Messiah. I don't think Obama is what the Lord has in mind for the second coming. I am pretty sure Jesus was not pro-choice, although the liberation theologists, or what I like to call theo-socialists, would find a way to weave a pro-choice philosophy into the principles of Jesus Christ. That being said, Pelosi is more akin to Lev Davidovich Bronstein, AKA Leon Trotsky hailing the second coming of Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, AKA Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. God or Jesus has nothing to do with Barack's candidacy.

The Vampire Strikes: Bella Pelosi, hubris and lese majesty

Bella Pelosi, that vampire from the land of habitrails and frightened gerbils, has finally shown her hubris, and  lese majesty in full bloom. Hubris is god like pride, or excessive confidence. Lese Majesty is an act that violates the dignity of the sovereign or ruler. She has told the world she wants to save it. How lovely for her. I suppose she believes she is Jesus christ as well? She may be speaker of the house, but she is one of 435 members of the house of representatives. She is not the president, and she is not Jesus. May be she has been spending too much time with Al Gore, whose attempts at politicizing science in the name of man induced global warming will be looked at in hindsight as absurd as the church finding Gallileo guilty of heresy because he posited the earth revolved around the sun. The world does not need saving, as it has a way of self correcting anything that has come it's way. May be Bella Pelosi needs to look in the mirror and ask herself why she has a lower approval rating than a total failure. Then again, she wouldn't see her reflection.

McCain, Obama, Heroes, Antiheroes and plain idiots

Earlier in the week, John McCain characterized himself more like Theodore Roosevelt as opposed to a characterization by Barak Obama that a John McCain presidency would be like a third Bush presidency. Theodore Roosevelt was considered a progressive in his day, and by current conservative and even republican standards, he would have been more to the left with issues that the party holds dear. Theodore Roosevelt believed in the government helping the underclasses and he aggressively pursued business monopolies. I grew up on Long Island and toured Sagamore Hill, the residence of Theodore Roosevelt, more than a couple times. I consider him one of the greatest men to hold the office of the presidency, and he was a hero of mine growing up. Still, I find I have to reconcile a couple positions he took as president, as they wouldn't necessarily be mine. Even with with our differences (I am a believer in free trade and no/low taxes), I still feel he was a great man. He could talk the talk and walk the walk. He was a moral man that believed in justice, and believed in rugged individualism. He brought America to the fore as a preeminent nation in the world. I can see how McCain would consider himself more like Teddy, but I think he falls short in some ways. He probably not as smart as Theodore Roosevelt, and not as diverse in his knowledge and background. McCain does not have prior executive experience, and he doesn't seem to have the political prowess Roosevelt had, which only could be matched by Bill Clinton, May be. Teddy was as at ease talking with a ditch digger as he was with the Queen of England. Lastly, McCain's position of immigration, at least prior to the last few months, would not fly with Teddy. May be McCain should read Roosevelt's Hyphenated Americanism speech. Still, if McCain aspires to be like Theodore Roosevelt, I think that is fine and he could do much worse and is a lot better off than his political adversary. I don't know who Barak Obama fancies himself like, but my guess is a black Jack Kennedy. He does have the youth and charisma down, but Jack would be a right wing populist by today's standards and had he lived, the Vietnam War would have changed his legacy considerably. That being said, Barak is far left of Jack, as is Barak's wife, who I'd bet would have more to do with his administration than Hillary did with Bill's. If I had to guess, I bet they like people such as Fidel Castro, Karl Marx, and Chairman Mao. The good thing is that no matter how far left Barak is, it is unlikely that he could go through a presidency and enact all the socialist agendas he would like, but the idea of his presidency is disturbing to someone like myself that is an objectivist, libertarian in political bent, and a free trader. The underlying question that no one is asking, who is Barak Obama? Comedian's find it difficult to throw barbs on him, partly because he's black, partly because they like him. The complaint put forth is that he offers nothing for them to go after. If that doesn't cause alarm, I don't know what should. Not only is getting a free pass by the media, but he's hiding who he is. So who is Barak Obama? It'll take more space than I have now, and I will address this later, and hopefully with humor. Now on to plain idiots... Nancy Pelosi (Nancy Lugosi or Bella Pelosi?) wins this week's prize as Idiot for her comment that George W. Bush is a total failure. I will preface my next comment with the statement that I have been disappointed by Bush, and not in a small way, but... Her comment is from someone that has a lower approval rating than the president's approval rating, in fact it is in the single digits. So, my question for this cagna brutta, what is lower than a total failure? She would know.
