Obama's War With Capitalism: Garage Sales

The federal government in the guise of the Consumer Product Safety Commission has imposed strict policy standards for children's items sold at garage sales. The project is called resale roundup.

The "Resale Round-up," launched by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, enforces new limits on lead in children's products and makes it illegal to sell any items that don't meet those limits or have been recalled for any other reason.

Violators caught selling anything on the enormous list face fines of up to $100,000 per infraction and up to $15 million for a related series of infractions.

The government in it's ever decreasing wisdom only knows how to penalize it's citizens that want to make money. If the government was so concerned about the Chinese crap that comes into this country, they would put a stop to it there, make the companies recall the items and leave it at that. But, no good deed goes unpunished, particularly in economic hard times. I am sure there will be an economic stimulus bill for failed garage sales now. There is nothing like creating your own constituencies. We'll call it CCRAP (pronounced see crap), the Chinese-made Crap Reinvestment and Assistance Program.

Thank you for reading this blog.
