A Sad End To A Sad Day

I wish I had a better caption here, but it's hard to find good ones that are pro life. Most knock pro life.

Today, on one of the saddest days of the year for most Americans, two men were shot and killed at least one of them most probably because of his beliefs.

Harlan James Drake, 33, was charged Friday with first-degree murder in the deaths of James Pouillon, 63, and Mike Fuoss, 61, said Shiawassee County Prosecutor Randy Colbry.

Whatever his beef, Harlan didn't have the right to kill these men. The story gets more bizarre when you find out the perp was an over the road truck driver that is only home 2 days out of a month if that. It sounds like he was either nuts of crazy. Whatever the case, it made a sad day sadder. It's bad enough we had 19 crazy ass muslims that wanted to kill thousands of Americans 8 years ago, but we have Americans that want to kill other Americans because of what they believe. Let's stand together for a free America where Americans can disagree without resorting to this.

Thank you for reading this blog.

I don't so much identify as "pro-life" as much as stand in opposition to the practice of dismembering children for profit. It's not a religious issue to me. Actually that has been a triumph of the scumbag left...turning the question of killing children into a theological matter. Were I some wacked out Wiccan, my desire to kill an unborn child wouldn't become any more valid.

Chuck:
Me too, as I can think for myself. For me, a baby or fetus is nothing other than a human being. It will not be a meatloaf when it comes out or a frog. It also has unique DNA that makes it a unique individual and therefore has natural rights as a human being to life, liberty and the pursuit of property. To think that we should be able to destroy such a person requires that one believe in the owning another human being, believing in slavery in a sense, and having the right to decide life and death for that person. I cannot believe that is right. Nothing Bint or anyone else can say will make it right. Does that make sense to you rationally? Thanks for stopping by.

I'll bare some soul and tell that I'm the 40 year old grandfather of a beautiful little bastard girl. Tragedy? No. My son is a magnificent specimen. Were he a sexual brigand, he could knock up half the girls in the county. He's a good boy who "dated" an easy girl for literally a few minutes after his girlfriend of several years broke up with him.(One shot. No shit)

Now this little girl and her little baby are a fixture in our lives. She and my son don't speak. Do I raise hell with my son about it? No. Do I curse the day that little baby was born? Hell no. I belong to that child and my belonging is a blessing. I look at that child and thank God for her life while I pity her situation. She deserves a married Mother and Father but she doesn't have that. That doesn't mean, however, that she'd be better off ripped to pieces with a weedeater. She has me. Forever. I ain't the best, but I'm better than death.

I am not a grandpa yet. I have 5 kids, 4-14 years old. They are a wonder to me too, and a blessing. Most lessons in life are learned by experience, as it is the best teacher. As much as I like to promote rationalism, such examples as you discuss set an example that is understood in real time.

I will also add to a previous post that not only one must believe in the ownership of a human being to be ok with abortion, but I believe they also have to be a materialist and a nihilist. While these descriptions are just that and may be serve no end to it, may be your situation and ones like it can serve as an example to what is right and change peoples hearts.

Thanks for sharing.

I didn't get married until I was 32...I am old enough to be a grandfather I suppose.

Actually, I feel like I'm too young to have kids in college. My wife and I got started way too young. We were 18 we got married. I was 21 when our firstborn came along. No complaints, but I wouldn't recommend starting out the way we did. I bit off too much too early.
