You Lie!

Update: He called the white house and apologized. Wuss...

Someone has a
pair...

A South Carolina Republican lawmaker shouted "You lie" at President Barack Hussein Obama as he addressed Congress on Wednesday, prompting a GOP senator to call for an apology...

"You lie!" Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., shouted from his seat, jabbing a finger in the air.

Good for him. Unfortunately, Senator McCain called for an apology. F McCain, as he lost the election and had no shame in laying down on the job while running for president, why should he have shame for someone telling the truth? For many politicians, to be successful, they must bear false witness against their own mind. McCain is experienced in this.

Congratulate Joe Wilson on having the balls to tell the Messiah he's full of crap.

Thank you for reading this blog.

The COUNTRY needs more Joe Wilsons. I am amazed at the casual acceptance of bald faced lies these days.

Me too Chuck.

I agree with WHAT he said, I do not agree on WHERE he said it. The president is a guest of the House and should be respected no matter how much one disagrees with him. To interrupt Obama's speech the way he did was downright disrespectful of the office.

@Fool:
What office? I hold no distinction. We didn't with King George, and we shouldn't now. It's not like he used profanity or made an ad hominem attack. Add to this the utter ignorance on the part of the 4th branch of government, how and when can even a politician get his point across? If Joe really believed and knew what he said was true, no reason to apologize. Respect must be earned and Barry O can't hide behind the title and demand it. It's just as crazy as referring to oneself in the third person.

Lastly, I find all the clapping more of an interruption of a speech. Let a president talk and clap later

Did you complain about the applause when Bush spoke before congress?

People from both sides confuse the office with the officeholder. Should a soldier refuse to salute an officer simply because he disagrees with him? The officer commands respect because of his rank, not because of his beliefs.Just as the president does.

I for one truly believes that Obama is attempting to head us down the road further into Facism, and maybe into Socialism, but I still respect the office and would address him as "Mr. President" if I ever had the chance instead of "Commie pinko bedwetting booger-eating moron..."

I found the applause given bush interminable. It was bad enough he was a poor speaker, the applause just made a bad situation worse.

I am not in the military, I am a civilian. They are two different things.

I would call him Mr. Obama. That salutation was broken in by Bill Clinton when addressing George HW Bush.

And Besides, I have about as much chance at meeting Obama as I do going to the moon or even on the space shuttle to the international space station. It just won't happen and I am just fine with that.
