This Took 86 Days?

In what must be a riches of embarrassment, BP finally fixed the leak after 86 days. That's almost 3 months for those of you from the east side.

I have to wonder what took so long. So say it was because the well was a mile under water, some say it was because no one at BP had the expertise to deal with this or that BP didn't even have a plan. Some will blame the government and Obama, some will just it's about time.

Considering we put a man on the moon, we've recovered artifacts from the Titanic over 2 miles down, we've sent satellites to Mars where one has been rolling across the surface for the last 5 to 6 years, there has to be a good reason why it took so long to fix this (where's Harry Stamper when you need him).

If I had to guess, it's incompetence. Incompetence on the part of BP, of the government, and just about everyone involved on the delivery side. The sad thing is that the people on the gulf coast are going to take this one in the ass. Not Obama, not the execs at BP, not any government employees. Even Bobby Jindal was a disappointment to some extent. He should have sent out the NG to ensure that his people could proceed with cleanup and abatement measure when the Mountebank's crew tried to stop them. It would have been first class political theatre and it would have shown balls, like in Arizona with SB1070. Brewer showed sand and it worked in her favor. Jindal acquiesced. He lost an opportunity.

What this did illustrate is that we cannot count on the feds for very much. In spite of Obama's agenda of socialism as the form of government for the US, it really doesn't work, especially with an inept leader. We've had failure after failure by dear leader and yet they push on, white knuckled, with even more fortitude. Nothing fails like repeated failure.

So now we wait for the next act of drama to arise in this news cycle called the gulf spill and what will be next?

Another opportunity for Obama to show how bad he really is.

Follow The Money: Exxon-Mobil Wants to buy BP

From the department of conspiracies, the question arises, is the move by Exxon-Mobil to buy BP just a matter of fate of the circumstances or is there more to it?

Better put, has Obama's inaction been a favor for Exxon-Mobil, just incompetence, or as a favor to enviro-terrorists? May be all of the above? Remember the fall of TARP and the government's picking of winners and losers. Could this be the same? Who knows what goes on behind the scenes. Of course, Occam's razor would say that it's just plain incompetence. If that is true, then we have the most incompetent president extant. He's moved beyond Jimmy Carter or Andrew Johnson (or Millard Fillmore or Franklin Pierce) and establishes himself as the preeminent failure for that office.

More to come...

The Feckless Commander-in-Chief Appeals to a Higher Authority

In a day of indecision, Obama supplicates, in his mind, a higher authority. Obama has decided to accept international assistance for the gulf oil spill. this collective wisdom is not by mistake, although it is  one, and it is part of his agenda in marginalizing the standing of the United States with the rest of the world.

According to the article:
The United States is accepting help from 12 countries and international organizations in dealing with the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
The State Department said in a statement Tuesday that the U.S. is working out the particulars of the help that's been accepted.

The identities of all 12 countries and international organizations were not immediately announced. One country was cited in the State Department statement -- Japan, which is providing two high-speed skimmers and fire containment boom.

More than 30 countries and international organizations have offered to help with the spill. The State Department hasn't indicated why some offers have been accepted and others have not.
In the same day, Venezuela says it will nationalize 11 US owned oil rigs, in a property grab by Chavez. One should wonder where the smell of sulphur is really coming from.

And in an act of hubris and desperation, house dems voted down a trip to visit the oil ravaged gulf. Covering for dear leader and his regime you think?

What keeps coming up, again and again is the utter incompetence of Obama mixed with an agenda that is more than wrong with a democrat majority in congress. In may come out some day that Obama wasn't incompetent at all: Obama purposely let the oil spill go on (we are almost 2 and half months in now) because he wants to push a radical energy agenda in cap and tax as well as force car manufacturers into electric cars before their time, which he is doing now anyway. While it is a good idea to get away from foreign  oil, we certainly have enough of our own reserves to supply us fully for the next 50 years. This is more than enough time to transition to something else. With Dear Leader, his timeline is 5-10 years. Much to quick and he is much too willing to put pain on his own people (business and citizens) to suit his agenda.

No one is asking these questions because they are afraid of what the answer might be, which is that Obama is willingly incompetent. I'd settle for plain old stupid, which is more than likely what Occam's Razor will reveal, but with people like Rahm Emmanuel in the White House, anything is possible. Obama just may end up being not only worse than Carter, but as dirty as Nixon. Truly our worst president no matter how you cut it.

One question to all the idiots that voted for him: Was it worth it?

Who's Responsible For Oil Spill?

The Asininity of the State Run Media

It what was probably thought of as a witty if not derigueur headline New oil numbers may do more harm to fish, wildlife, turns out to show how stupid the state run media is. The first question that comes to mind is, how can numbers change the impact of something that has already happened? The oil that spilled, spilt. Nothing can change that. The same number of animals and habitats will be affected regardless of the numbers assigned to the disaster. It only changes our perception. It's like saying the Romans used 5 nails to put Yeshua on the cross instead of 3 or the Nazis used 20 tons of sarin to gas the Jews instead of 10 tons. It doesn't matter. Yeshua died on the cross and 6 million Jews were exterminated.

This is all to gin up support for what will eventually become the destruction of the oil industry. While BP is responsible for this ultimately and will have to clear this up, it also shows that quite possibly, besides incompetence, that there are factions on the left that want inaction so as to use this to further their agenda. When we had Exxon Valdez, the PETA/Greenpeace types were on the shore cleaning up. Not so much here. The inaction from many sectors in the enviro-terrorist movement is incredible. I'd like to call it manufactured Karma. That is what the left does very well, besides straw man arguments and emotional based appeals. They also like to manufacture Karma.

Ultimately, what seems to be a lack of critical thinking on the part of AP writers (and boy is it prevalent), may turn out to be deliberate and calculating. What do you think?

Obama Regime Bills Wounded Soldier for Lost Equipment

The Cheapskate and Thief-in-Cheif has now allowed the government to stoop to a new low: They are docking soldiers for lost equipment in a war zone, specifically equipment lost when soldiers are wounded.

An injured soldier who spent a year recovering at Joint Base Lewis-McChord said the military gave him a Purple Heart - and a bill for $3,000...Former Oregon National Guard soldier Gary Pfleider told the news station that the base billed him for equipment he allegedly lost. In 2007, Pfleider was shot by a sniper in Iraq.

What I am surprised at is that Obama hasn't had him arrested for stealing. This is truly an insult to all service personnel and the American people. IS this how we treat our citizens that serve for us?

Pfleider received a Purple Heart three days after he was shot. Two years later, he got a bill from the military for missing equipment, including clothing and grenades. Pfleider contends he lost the gear when he left Iraq and shouldn't be responsible for it now, but the federal government is taking money from his disability check each month.

If we can pay the medical bills for illegal aliens, why can't we pay for their equipment when they are wounded or killed? It's not like he deliberately destroyed or lost his stuff. This smacks of parsimonious penny pinching bean counting meanness. Like most problems faced by the Obama Regime, this one is ignored. They are off talking to professors and ersatz experts when action is demanded and needed. The etherial and cerebral president is better suited to a game of trivial pursuit than actually solving anything. If you don't believe me, look at the BP oil spill? He lack of engagement and response with North Korea torpedoing a South Korean Naval vessel. He purely pusillanimous and obsequious posture amount third world despots and second rate monarchs and political know nothings. Whatever demands action or common sense, he does the opposite.

I know I will get emails and comments saying, it's the Oregon National Guard for god's sake and has nothing to do with Obama. Well, he's the "Command In Chief", and the buck stops somewhere, and it is with him. This is the symptom of the Wesley Mouch disease that has infected our country on January 21, 2009. What's the cure? What's the treatment? I hope it isn't palliative.

North Korea Found to Be Responsible For Sinking: Could Oil Rig Be That Far Off?

Reported in the news, South Korea alleges that North Korea sunk the boat with a torpedo. Shown on CNN, are fragments of said torpedo.     While the non-interventionists take the side of North Korea and call the evidence fake, the South Koreans and the US plan naval exercises and both call for the cessession of trade with North Korea.
Earlier this month we published an article here and on Libertarian Republican from Michael Savage's website that proposed that the North Koreans torpedoed the Deepwater Horizon Oil Platform in the gulf. We did publish a disclaimer that these views were not necessarily the views of The Right Guy Show and Libertarian Republican. I stated in my own opinion that occam's razor applies.

Then I got an email from Eric this week saying may be the North Korean's involvement wasn't too far fetched:

"Ya know, with confirmation that it was North Korea that sunk that South Korean ship, suddenly the N. Korea theory on BP isn't so far-fetched.  Care to do a follow-up?  I'm surprised I'm not seeing anyone now suggesting this"
You know Eric, you have a point. So just to stir up the pot, does anyone want to jump in on this again? Is it still a far fetched conspiracy theory or plausible now?

My own opinion is that occam's razor applies, meaning that the simplest and most reasonable explanation  is the right one, which is it just blew up. But you have to admit that this whole oil rig disaster has been a morbid comedy of errors where Obama now makes Bush look like an overbearing mother with his response to Katrina. It is a far comparison and Obama has failed miserably. Much worse than Bush ever has and with a 42% approval rating in less than a year and a half, he's heading down very quickly.

So there you have it, or do you? With all the tensions with North Korea, would they be so bold? Tensions seems to be building in a post-Bush Obama world, with Israel on maneuvers, ratcheting it up with Iran, who with Mahmoud Ahmedinejad is making nuclear deals with other mideast countries, North Korea sinking a South Korean Navy vessel, and now with South Korea and the US stopping all trade with NK and NK threatening war if anyone retaliates? We also have the continuing mess and morass in Afghanistan and even though Iraq is now secured, we still have bombings and violence. Will these seem like separate, isolated instances, there seems to be a synchronicity to it that may be it's not completely random. I wonder what Occam would think?

Big Oil? Who was right: Me

Yesterday, I posted an article saying the reason for the lack of action on the part of the Obama regime was not because he was in bed with big oil as Palin asserted.

Today we see as reported at Gateway Pundit, that the democrats in congress want to quadruple the taxes on gas. I rest my case.

The Pot Calling the Tea Kettle Black: Palin Accused Obama of Being in Bed with Big Oil

While Saracuda may have a point, it is almost laughable that she accuses Obama in bed with big oil. Alaska has plentiful oil and such that not only is there no income tax, but a refund from the income from oil. Alaska is big oil, which is fine with me.

"I don't know why the question isn't asked by the mainstream mediaand by others if there's any connection with the contributions made topresident Obama and his administration and the support by the oil companies to the administration," she told Fox News Sunday.
And she is right. The Lamestream media is in fact ignoring the Obama Regime's role in this disaster. In fact, it's amazing that Bush drew brickbats for being a day late, Obama is at day 34 and has not done a damn thing.

Is he in bed with big oil?
According to Andrew Gully, More than 3.5 million dollars has been given to candidates by BP over the last 20 years, with the largest single donation, 77,051 dollars, going to Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
Ok, So is there fire even where there is smoke? The Right Guy has another theory that conspiracy theory buffs will love. Try this on for size: Obama's reticence to do anything is to create a scapegoat of the oil companies, create a straw man argument that they are evil in an effort to further eco-terrorists agenda. Think I am wrong? Where are all the Eco-Weenies crying over the death of the spotted half-brown Louisiana turd bird? We really haven't heard from the eco-terror crowd as they want this to be bad so they can say we told you so and push their agenda. Obama is squarely behind them. The fact that they donated money to him is just foolishness on their part and probably has nothing to do with Obama's reluctance in action. What do you think? Let me know.
