From Worldnet Daily:The U.S. Army is – unofficially – suggesting a brain scan and medical evaluation for an officer who announced he would refuse to follow further orders until and unless President Obama documents his constitutional eligibility to be commander in chief.
Lt. Col. Terry Lakin is the highest-ranking and first active-duty officer to refuse to obey orders based on President Obama’s eligibility.
A spokeswoman for the developing case of Lt. Col. Terry Lakin, a flight surgeon with 18 years in the service, said the recommendation came to Lakin today from an officer whose name was not being used who implied that those higher up the chain of command thought it was a good idea.

The top-ranking, highly decorated officer says he’s refusing all orders until Obama releases his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate to prove his eligibility to serve as commander in chief.
“I feel I have no choice but the distasteful one of inviting my own court martial,” Lakin said in a statement. “The Constitution matters. The truth matters.”
This is rich. We've finally gotten to the point where if you disagree with Obamessiah, you must be mentally ill. This is so like socialism. How many people were condemned to mental institutions in communist countries for going against the government? And those were the ones that got off easy and didn't end up as fertilizer for the jungle or the pigs. This is the first step in moving towards re-education camps or facilities, if that is more palatable. What bothers me more is that there is anyone in the military that wouldn't at least secretly give credence to what he Lakin says and it hurts that one of his own would suggest such a thing. Such is the purview for politically motivated officers that are no better than politicians. God help us or we'll be dosing Soma in no time.

Hasn't Snopes.com already debunked this birthers conspiracy? The Hawaii State Department of Health makes clear that the terms “Birth Certificate and “Certificate of Live Birth” are synonymous. The State of Hawaii produced the required official documentation (i.e., President Obama’s Birth Certificate) confirming he was a nartural born citizen and it was made public. On October 31, 2008, the Diretor of the State of Hawaii’s Department of Health published a News Release testifying that President Obama’s “original birth certificate” was verified to be on record.

I am not a birther, but I wouldn't put all my money on snopes either. If I was the Lt. Col, I would wait until my enlistment ran out and then leave. When you sign your contract, it doesn't matter who the boss is.
On the other hand, suggesting he needs a brain scan reeks of hard core communism. Mao, Stalin, and Castro to name a few, have put people in insane asylums that disagreed with them. Vietnam is renown for their re-education camps. Such is the likes of marxism in many of it's iterations. Standing up and saying the birther issue isn't one, doesn't address the ridiculousness of the brain scan issue. FWIW, Obama hasn't proved he's a US citizen beyond a reasonable doubt, and he hasn't shown any of his academic records. The question you have to ask is, why?
All in all, it changes nothing insofar as Obama is as Mr. Chuck says, scum of the earth.

Bottom line, if the military chooses it could courtmatial the guy. They would be kind to give him a mental evaluation first though make sure he is mentally stable.
The link, btw, is not to snopes. It is easily verified that the birth certificate is legit, and many GOP members with security clearance know this full well. Hence only the lunatic fringe keeps raising the issue.
One, you haven't answered my questions, two, you brought up snopes, three, I am not the GOP, not would I ever speak for them, four, it doesn't matter to me. It's a red herring issue, probably on the part of Obama to give people LSD tainted raw meat. There are bigger issues with Obama than that.
As far as "brain scans" go, it's ridiculous. I would be most people in the military do not like Obama at all. The difference is they will serve out their commitment. Why he is choosing to not honor his commitment is something only he can explain. Subjecting someone to a "brain scan" because they disagree with you is something I will leave for the likes of Chavez, Castro and the idiots in China. Court martial him or don't. By your standards we should brain scan anyone that breaks the rules. A word to the wise: If everyone followed the rules, those is power would find it necessary to create more or tougher rules to create violators. Obviously he is in violation of his oath, so I will leave it at that.

Under the UCMJ he is subject to courtmartial. If they are nice they will give him a honorable medical discharge rather than just courtmartialing him and giving him a dishonorable discharge.
We don't need nutcases sending out boys and girls into harms way.

My point is not to agree with what he says, but that I disagree with trying to marginalize him as crazy.
