Arizona Congressional Candidate Pamela Gorman Gets 100% Endorsement From NRA

This is from Chris at Conservative Perspective. This woman is amazing and would have my vote in a heartbeat. Those that read The Right Guy Show know I am the only person that would get more than 100% from the NRA if I were running for anything, but 100% is awesome. All I have to say is, Pamela, where have you been all my life, and are you married? :) Good luck in your race and I hope you win.

This is a fun video put together by some volunteers. If you want information about me or my candidacy for U.S. Congress in Arizona's 3rd district, you can find it at my website. www.Gorman2010.com.

As much fun as this video is, you should know that I am very serious about the future of America. I do hope you will take a closer look at my work record in public policy and my conservative positions on key issues.

If not, I hope you at least enjoyed the video these fine folks put together and will share it with others!

The Feckless Commander-in-Chief Appeals to a Higher Authority

In a day of indecision, Obama supplicates, in his mind, a higher authority. Obama has decided to accept international assistance for the gulf oil spill. this collective wisdom is not by mistake, although it is  one, and it is part of his agenda in marginalizing the standing of the United States with the rest of the world.

According to the article:
The United States is accepting help from 12 countries and international organizations in dealing with the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
The State Department said in a statement Tuesday that the U.S. is working out the particulars of the help that's been accepted.

The identities of all 12 countries and international organizations were not immediately announced. One country was cited in the State Department statement -- Japan, which is providing two high-speed skimmers and fire containment boom.

More than 30 countries and international organizations have offered to help with the spill. The State Department hasn't indicated why some offers have been accepted and others have not.
In the same day, Venezuela says it will nationalize 11 US owned oil rigs, in a property grab by Chavez. One should wonder where the smell of sulphur is really coming from.

And in an act of hubris and desperation, house dems voted down a trip to visit the oil ravaged gulf. Covering for dear leader and his regime you think?

What keeps coming up, again and again is the utter incompetence of Obama mixed with an agenda that is more than wrong with a democrat majority in congress. In may come out some day that Obama wasn't incompetent at all: Obama purposely let the oil spill go on (we are almost 2 and half months in now) because he wants to push a radical energy agenda in cap and tax as well as force car manufacturers into electric cars before their time, which he is doing now anyway. While it is a good idea to get away from foreign  oil, we certainly have enough of our own reserves to supply us fully for the next 50 years. This is more than enough time to transition to something else. With Dear Leader, his timeline is 5-10 years. Much to quick and he is much too willing to put pain on his own people (business and citizens) to suit his agenda.

No one is asking these questions because they are afraid of what the answer might be, which is that Obama is willingly incompetent. I'd settle for plain old stupid, which is more than likely what Occam's Razor will reveal, but with people like Rahm Emmanuel in the White House, anything is possible. Obama just may end up being not only worse than Carter, but as dirty as Nixon. Truly our worst president no matter how you cut it.

One question to all the idiots that voted for him: Was it worth it?

Yet Another Stupid Muslim Terrorist Story

As Appeared at our mother publication,Libertarian Republican:

Unfortunately with Deadly Consequences

From Cliff Thies:

The headline of the London Daily Mail reads "Innocent couple died 'after wrong house was fire-bombed in bungled honour killing'."
An innocent couple died in a house fire at the hands of assailants who got the wrong address in a botched honour killing, a court heard today.

Abdullah Mohammed, 41, and his wife, Aysha Mohammed, 39, were overcome by smoke and fumes after an accelerant was poured through their letterbox and set alight.

Their killers were ordered by another man to avenge his family's honour but instead of firebombing 135 London Road in Blackburn, Lancashire, they started the blaze at 175 London Road, the court heard.

Opening the case at Preston Crown Court, Brian Cummings QC said: 'The prosecution allege that Sadik Miah, Mohammed Miah (no relation) and Habib Iqbal were directly responsible for starting the fire that night

'The prosecution say, on behalf of his family, Hisamuddin Ibrahim wanted to kill a man by the name of Mo Ibrahim (no relation) to punish him for damaging the family's honour for having an affair with his married sister, Hafija Gordi.'
Just another stupid Muslim terrorist story? No! More like another story of creeping Sharia Law.

Abdullah Mohammed, 41, and his wife, Aysha Mohammed, 39, who were murdered in a botched 'honour killing,' were indeed an 'innocent couple,' as the headline puts it. Ditto their minor children who, thankfully, survived. But so were the persons the murderers intended to kill. In Great Britain, as in our country, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Even then, the punishment is to fit the crime. Guilt is not to be determined by any Sadik, Mohammed, Habib or Hisamuddin, with punishment determined by primitive tribal standards masquerading as a religion, and executed by hired assassins. It's bad enough that immigrants don't respect the rule of law. But, for the editors of a great newspapers to accept that the intended victims might not be innocent is much worse.

Supreme Court Affirms Natural Right to Self-Protection

The Second Amendment – The original homeland security.
Anonymous

The supreme court today struck down the Chicago gun ban. In a 5-4 decision, the court overturned the 1982 ban on guns in Chicago. The 1982 ban was so restrictive that no firearms could be legally owned or possessed within a domicile in the jurisdiction of Chicago. None.

The statist and fascist mayor Daly had this to say:

Daly said his primary goal would be to protect police officers, paramedics and emergency workers from being shot when responding to an incident at a home. He said he also wants to save taxpayers from the financial cost of lawsuits if police shoot someone in the house because the officer felt threatened.

"If the ban is overturned, we will see a lot of common-sense approaches in the city aimed at protecting first responders," Daley said. "We have to have some type of registry. If a first responder goes to an apartment, they need to know if that individual has a gun."

In other words, we may have to allow people to own firearms, but we will regulate you to death. The safety of police and other first responders is a red herring. In States like Texas, Arizona, Florida and Utah (Along with Vermont and Alaska) have the most liberal laws in regards to gun ownership, and I mean truly liberal. Police there generally do not have a problem with individuals legally possessing firearms. This is a fall back measure by Daly to restrict people based on his illogical and statist world view.
Writing for the court in a case involving restrictive laws in Chicago and one of its suburbs, Justice Samuel Alito said that the Second Amendment right "applies equally to the federal government and the states."

This is a happy day for liberty loving people, even with the continued threat from social progressive statists like Daly, Obama and others. Alito's affirming that gun ownership extends to the states sends a clear message to left wing progressive ideologues that our natural rights will be defended, promulgated and affirmed at all levels of government, no matter how much it pains them in their pursuit of making us Farm Animals®.

The Daily Manure Pyle

From today's manure pyle we have such stinking news as Al Gore the crazed sex poodle, MaoBaMao eating burgers with Medvedev, and Sir Paul McCartney MBE, equating global warming deniers with holocaust deniers. So basically, it was just another day. There was some good news amongst the crap: 48% of Americans see government as a threat to individual rights, Australia gets it's first female PM, and of course, what we have all been waiting for, the Taliban endorses General Patraeus. Eric Dondero must be beside himself that he missed that one.

Of course the good news doesn't stop there. Jack Abramoff is now delivering kosher pizza's, talk about falling down, and we find out Rahminator and CapObama were deeply involved in the Blago fiasco. Can a Watergate type of menagerie be far from sight? With the Welshmistriss replacing Rudd, anything is possible. Keep hope alive.

And from the bottom of the cesspool, see BP is has sushi chef training, a school locks down after kinder moms brawl, and an elementary school from the land of Der Schwimmer is reconsidering giving elementary school students condoms. I guess since ted is dead, the threat is gone.

So there you have it, the pyle from the pile. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

Horror of Horrors: Stalin Statue at D-Day Memorial

From The Washington Times:

Robin Reed, slated to become the next president of the National D-Day Memorial Foundation on Monday, is standing by his predecessor's decision to install a bust of dictator Josef Stalin at the memorial in Bedford, Va.

I must live in some alternate universe or something. That is what I thought when we had a guest on Libertarian Politics Live tonight. The guest was a late booking, but we had Marcus Kilga of the Global Museum On Communism on the second segment. A must listen.

Marcus said that the donor that gave the money to commission the statue was anonymous. Efforts are being made to find out who it was. The pusillanimity of Robin Reed is reprehensible. I cannot for the life of me figure out how this makes sense. Russia had nothing to do with D-Day. No Russians were there. Stalin made Hitler look like a boy scout. 30 million killed is a conservative estimate, and these aren't war losses, not to mention, The American Tragedy In Stalin's Russia. They all died while FDR played his fiddle, so to speak. As Cassius Clay would say, Stalin was a Baaaad Man.

Dr. Lee Edwards of the Global Museum on Communism had this to say:

Since the fall of the Soviet Union, statues of Joseph Stalin have been torn down all over Europe and even in the former Soviet Union itself. The world is closer than ever before to a consensus on the evils of communism and Stalin's primary role in the worst crimes of the last century. And yet a statue of Stalin is included in the National D-Day Memorial, to be dedicated in Bedford, Virginia, this Sunday, June 6.
Near the statue of Stalin, a plaque catalogues Stalin's crimes against millions of people both in Russia and throughout Europe. But no mere plaque can justify the inclusion of the statue which dishonors the heroic individuals who sacrificed so much on D-Day and in the Cold War.
A bust of Joseph Stalin has no place in a memorial whose purpose is to salute the brave soldiers who made D-Day a vital victory in the crusade for freedom.

The fact that this happened under the Obama Regime isn't a coincidence my friends.  Even W would have had contempt for this. It's outrageous and a legitimization of Stalin. Juxtapose this with the removal of Churchill's bust from the White House, replaced with a magazine cover of Obama walking on water, You have to wonder. The world has truly turned upside down.

Andre Traversa Presents Libertarian Politics Live: Special Guests Carlos Miller and Michael Pancier

Tuesday night's topic involves both the right to privacy and free speech, both at odds. Police have been arresting people that video tape them, citing right to privacy issues. The problem is that police have video cameras in cars and these same police have allowed themselves to be videotaped when there is a positive spin to it, but suddenly it's wrong when they are caught doing something that could get them in trouble. Read the article at my blog here.

The Same Old Sunday Schweinerei

After a while, what else is there to talk about about? We all know what a fuck up Obama is, How screwed up the gulf oil spill is, how great Palin is, what a disappointment Palin is, how Tiger is going down the tubes, the continuing trend of losing privacy, the illegal immigration problems in this country, Islam, and it goes on and on, the same shit day after day.

You have to admit, my fellow bloggers, that we really just keep the shit merry go round turning. Nothing new here, just rehashing the same stories day after day with some interesting insight from time to time.

I know we mean well and and want things to change to fit our world view, but to be honest, where are we really going? Are we making a difference? We all can't be Sean Hannitys, Rush Limbaughs or Glenn Becks and it's not about talent either. The market is full of people like us, but I digress. I am sitting here on a Sunday afternoon, on father's day no less, with nary an idea of what to write about. It seems it has all been said dozens of times over to the point that everything starts to sound like talking points, whether or not it started out that way.

So here's my suggestion to all my peeps in the blogospheria: Talk a day or two off, have an adult beverage or two, talk to your wife and/or kids if so equipped, if not, call on a friend or family and if you are really hard up, call me. Whatever the case, take a break and lets see how long the shit merry go round lasts without us. My guess it's the journo-political version of the perpetual motion machine. It just keeps on keeping on, no matter what happens. If you are in my neck of the woods, you are welcome to stop by and I'll pour you a few fingers of some 18 year old scotch and we can bullshit about something more interesting like the meaning of life or how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. At the very least we will get a lot more accomplished.

Thank you for reading this blog.

Happy Father's Day Dad

It's been two and half years since dad passed. While today my kids celebrate me on father's day, I give kudos to my dad. Quiet, unassuming, diligent, and unlike his son, never cursed, at least in english. Dad was part of the greatest generation born in the mid 1920's the 6th child of Italian immigrants from Vitulazio Italy. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a tail gunner on a B-17, 8th Air Force, 305th BG, 364 BG, Chelveston England, 35 missions. Dad worked as a greenskeeper for 39 years, married for 37 years and had two sons and two step-daughters that he treated as his own. He was a life long republican.

On this day I would like to say thanks dad for being there and being my father. I wish you were here dad, as I still have a few questions...

More Regime Stupidity

In a never ending cascade of incompetence and stupidity,  The Obama Regime, through the proxy of the Coast Guard, has order Bobby Jindal's barges to stop siphoning crude from the gulf.
Eight days ago, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal ordered barges to begin vacuuming crude oil out of his state's oil-soaked waters. Today, against the governor's wishes, those barges sat idle, even as more oil flowed toward the Louisiana shore.
Towns along the coast are through waiting for the government's help.

"It's the most frustrating thing," the Republican governor said today in Buras, La. "Literally, yesterday morning we found out that they were halting all of these barges."

Again, the Regime is not only not doing it's best, but doing the opposite of what works. It's been the mantra of the Obama Regime from day 1: Mr opposite. Whatever Bush would have done, or anyone with a scintilla of common sense, Obama does the opposite. While this worked for George Costanza on Seinfeld, it isn't working for The Messiach of Marxism.  He isn't George Costanza and this isn't freaking television, although I am sure Larry David could make a sitcom from The Regime.
Sixteen barges sat stationary today, although they were sucking up thousands of gallons of BP's oil as recently as Tuesday. Workers in hazmat suits and gas masks pumped the oil out of the Louisiana waters and into steel tanks. It was a homegrown idea that seemed to be effective at collecting the thick gunk.

"These barges work. You've seen them work. You've seen them suck oil out of the water," said Jindal.

Well Bobby, don't worry. Obama will don his cape and suck the oil up with a straw. If you believe that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.

Thank you for reading this blog.

Obama's Lost That Old Black Magic

I have often called Obama the Magician, as well as other things line Mountebank, charlatan, fabian socialist, marxist, and supplicant in chief. This is mild compared to some bloggers.

Obama has a talent that we haven't seen since Clinton and had been mastered by FDR. That is to be able to speak to many different and disparate constituencies,  telling them the fairy tale they want to hear best, but his greatest talent is that of misdirection. While he palavers to the hoi palloi with one hand, he doesn't want he really wants with the other. He's done this with great success and it has gotten him where he is. It's never been about results, but about the perception of what he can do or better, will do.

It turns out he is not a many of action or results, but rather a pensive man trapped by process and decision making thereby freezing him into inaction. That is a charitable description. Part of the M.O. here is someone that gets the date, but can't deliver. In the position as PotUS, results matter and he's been in office long enough that he can't blame Bush anymore. He owns it. I imagine, on some level, he is at a loss. He's never been an executive with bottom line experience and hasn't carried something so critical as running a country or anything from conception through completion. I suspect the stakes have been too high for personal indemnity. It's kind of like the guy that goes around getting all sorts of women pregnant and while being able to father children, he doesn't know or want to be a dad.

So here we are, a year and a half into his term, and he has fallen into his Waterloo, his Little Big Horn. He can't run from the BP fiasco, and his only response is to point the finger, talk to experts, and tell the american people we need to change our energy policy and raise taxes. Is it incompetence, rectal-cranial inversion, or willful neglect? For a man who is gifted in rectal parlance, I have to wonder. He's lost that old black magic, the master of misdirection, the mountebank in chief. People are starting to see the big picture, the whole man behind the curtain. Impatience is building. While he can't suck the oil up with a straw, and he can't dive to the leak and cap it himself, he can do a lot more, and has waited almost 2 months to address it on TV. This is incredulous. I hate to say it, but he's worse than Jimmy Carter. W is Reagan by comparison.

My hope is that the American people have awoken from the spell of a cult leader and realize they have ben had. Even the State Run Media is having a hard time covering Dear Leader's and the Regime's ass.

My other hope is that the opposition parties don't screw this up. It's more than just an opportunity. It's a new beginning. It's up to us not to screw this up.

Will Obama get his magic back in time? What do you think?

Are We That Freaking Surprised?

Are that Freaking surprised? As the Fabian socialist constituencies (read that eco-terrorists and other far left leaning misanthropes) that propelled Obama to the white house are giving him a pass on the oil spill, the general public is growing ever frustrated with his incompetent and ersatz performance as president.

Here is a guy that never has had profit/loss responsibilities of running a business, and has not had any executive experience at all. The average manager of McDonalds has more executive experience than he had before being elected president of the United States. It's been on the job training since January 20th, 2009.

On top of this, his career has largely been a vehicle to create a mythical narrative for his ascendancy to where he is now. He's never taken any chances, and it's always been about him. Now that he's in a position where he can't pass the buck, where he can't blame anyone else, where he can't control the press or all the political operatives involved, we find out not only is the king naked, but he has a small pee pee and doesn't know what to do with it. he does ask a lot of advice from very respected people though.

We are almost 2 months into this oil well spewing millions of gallons of light crude into the gulf, and now we have the coast guard giving an ultimatum to BP: You better stop that leak. It's incredulous. For all the abuse George Bush took for Katrina and being labelled an idiot, he never earned it. Truth be told, Governor Landrieu told Bush she had to think about it for 24 hrs as to whether to accept his help or not, but he was down there in days, not months. And yet, we have the state run media playing along as best it can with rear facing excretory orifices like Matt Lauer asking when is he going to kick ass. Matt Lauer couldn't find his membrum virile with a map, GPS, Katie Couric pointing at it and Willard Scott giving directions. Obama is worse. I don't think anyone could make up a story as ludicrous as the scenario that has unravelled in the last 2 months, let alone the last two years.

So, in an ode to Stymie, that charming con man-boy from the little rascals, I hear by award Obama with the Stymie Mountebank Straw Man Magician Award for Total Incompetence for 2010. He conned most of us into electing him, and he'll try to con us into forgetting how bad he really is. The problem for him is, he can't run or hide from the truth now, and even with a if not obeisant press, a sympathetic one. The problem is, who is the Reagan of 2012? To be honest, that person hasn't shown up yet. What do you think? Are you surprised by his incompetence? If you think I am indulging in some schadenfreude, you are right. It's just that I love saying I told you so.

The Asininity of the State Run Media

It what was probably thought of as a witty if not derigueur headline New oil numbers may do more harm to fish, wildlife, turns out to show how stupid the state run media is. The first question that comes to mind is, how can numbers change the impact of something that has already happened? The oil that spilled, spilt. Nothing can change that. The same number of animals and habitats will be affected regardless of the numbers assigned to the disaster. It only changes our perception. It's like saying the Romans used 5 nails to put Yeshua on the cross instead of 3 or the Nazis used 20 tons of sarin to gas the Jews instead of 10 tons. It doesn't matter. Yeshua died on the cross and 6 million Jews were exterminated.

This is all to gin up support for what will eventually become the destruction of the oil industry. While BP is responsible for this ultimately and will have to clear this up, it also shows that quite possibly, besides incompetence, that there are factions on the left that want inaction so as to use this to further their agenda. When we had Exxon Valdez, the PETA/Greenpeace types were on the shore cleaning up. Not so much here. The inaction from many sectors in the enviro-terrorist movement is incredible. I'd like to call it manufactured Karma. That is what the left does very well, besides straw man arguments and emotional based appeals. They also like to manufacture Karma.

Ultimately, what seems to be a lack of critical thinking on the part of AP writers (and boy is it prevalent), may turn out to be deliberate and calculating. What do you think?
