Mike likes to ban things. He's banned and taxed cigarettes and even fired someone for smoking cigarettes, yet he smoked pot, He banned idling SUVs and he rides in Suburbans, and with his latest hypocrisy, he banned transfats, yet eats like Elvis on a binge. 
The federal government in the guise of the Consumer Product Safety Commission has imposed strict policy standards for children's items sold at garage sales. The project is called resale roundup. The "Resale Round-up," launched by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, enforces new limits on lead in children's products and makes it illegal to sell any items that don't meet those limits or have been recalled for any other reason.
With Obama's caving in on the missile defense plan, he has become Vladamir Putin's bitch. After being properly felated by Obama, Putin says it was a "correct and brave decision". Now that Obama succumb to Neville Chamberlain Disease, all of eastern Europe feels and is betrayed by our feckless and pusillanimous Commander in Chief. Obviously we have passed the crossroads and we are nearing a point of no return where our enemies will come to view us with more than contempt, but beneath it, where once we were an adversary to respect, now we are one to be walked on like a man who has been punked in prison. Obvious too is that Obama has ignored the warnings, and instead has chosen to cut path that is just a reversal of whatever Bush or Reagan would have done or did do. It's a path that has no rhyme or reason, but whose sole purpose is to undue what progress that has been done in order to delegitimize the past to create whatever future Obama seems fit to create. This is purely a marxist philosophy. 
Looking like some half-ass cross between a young Aunt Esther and a dominatrix, Michelle Obama tried to use an emotional appeal to promote her husbands government healthcare plan. In her speech she asserts that somehow women are treated differently and in a substandard way with our current healthcare system. She offers no numbers, just the faint stench of sacrifice and the malodorous feculence of victimhood. Armed with nothing but that stupid ass belt and a vapid mind, she seems to think she can persuade people to support government run healthcare on emotional grounds. For where there is a victim, there must be a savior and that savior is Obama and the power of the government. This my friends is the last refuge of morons and bad ideas. Anytime someone or some group needs the power of the government to force change, to force change most people do not want down their throats, generally it is a bad idea and cannot stand on its own. Such is the way of the progressive and fabian socialist. So is using emotional appeals and creating victims that only the government can save. Obviously Obama and Co. are in dire straights to have to pull such stunts, but it also reveals their true nature.

This week's Idiot of the Week award goes to the dumb ass and as yet unnamed burglar that was killed with a Katana when he tried to accost his victim after being told to leave. The police have withheld the name of the burglar for some ridiculous reason, yet the district attorney is looking into the case to determine if charges will be pressed against the student that defended himself. Only in looney liberal and left wing Baltimore Maryland. A Johns Hopkins University student killed an apparent burglar with a samurai sword after discovering the man in his garage, police said Tuesday.
Baltimore, Maryland, police received a phone call shortly before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday about a suspicious person, and an off-duty officer arrived at the scene with campus security, city police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said.
When authorities arrived, they heard calls for help and for police, he said. They discovered a suspected burglar with a severed left hand and severe lacerations to his upper body, Guglielmi said.
The 912 Project/Tea Party march in Washington is now in the history books. Glenn Beck must be proud and I am sure others in the new right media are scrambling to get something out of this. All aboard!
There is one voice out there that I find is not like the others. While this person probably wouldn't piss on me if I was on fire, I think his blog is the best political blog extant and an example of refinement of thought not seen since WFB. He is a joy to listen to as well. 
Guess who visits The Right Guy Show? That's Right Terrance W. Gainer. Who is Terrance W. Gainer? Terry is the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate. If you click on the first link, you'll get an idea of what he does. What interests me is that he was looking at a post I had about Chuck Grassley. About 18 minutes after his TWO visits, I see that someone from the House looked at the same web page. The plot thickens as on Sept 9, 6pm, I get a visit to the same said page from http://www.usich.gov/. The homeless? WTF? But then again, leading up to that I have people hitting the same page from Utica NY and Asahi Japan, not to mention a hell of a lot of other places including my home state and a few unknowns. Why would this post be so popular, and now?

September 11 is more than a day that will live in infamy. It is a somber day for me. You see, I am from NY, and I lived there when 9/11 occurred. At the time I was working on Long Island, for a confections manufacturing company and my wife worked in Manhattan for a small private investing company. The CFO of the company I worked for was married to Pat Lyons. Pat was a fireman with the NYFD, working at the 252 squad in Bushwick Brooklyn. I remember Irene saying it was his day off and he didn't have to go in...Irene was eight months pregnant with their first child. 
Update: He called the white house and apologized. Wuss...
Students in Broward County Florida Schools cannot opt out of Obama's speech. James F. Notter, The winner of this week's Idiot of the Week Award, says that students will be punished if they do not go to school the day of the speech. This is contrary to the US Department of Education Secretary Arne Duncan says the speech isn't mandatory Obviously, Notter didn't get the memo in his daily talking points. 
The president has been called many things in the past year, including fascist, nazi, marxist, and socialist. After reading Pat Buchanan this week, I learned he is a Fabian Socialist. What is a Fabian Socialist you ask? A Fabian Socialist is someone that subscribes to the tenets of the Fabian Society.
