More Regime Stupidity

In a never ending cascade of incompetence and stupidity,  The Obama Regime, through the proxy of the Coast Guard, has order Bobby Jindal's barges to stop siphoning crude from the gulf.
Eight days ago, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal ordered barges to begin vacuuming crude oil out of his state's oil-soaked waters. Today, against the governor's wishes, those barges sat idle, even as more oil flowed toward the Louisiana shore.
Towns along the coast are through waiting for the government's help.

"It's the most frustrating thing," the Republican governor said today in Buras, La. "Literally, yesterday morning we found out that they were halting all of these barges."

Again, the Regime is not only not doing it's best, but doing the opposite of what works. It's been the mantra of the Obama Regime from day 1: Mr opposite. Whatever Bush would have done, or anyone with a scintilla of common sense, Obama does the opposite. While this worked for George Costanza on Seinfeld, it isn't working for The Messiach of Marxism.  He isn't George Costanza and this isn't freaking television, although I am sure Larry David could make a sitcom from The Regime.
Sixteen barges sat stationary today, although they were sucking up thousands of gallons of BP's oil as recently as Tuesday. Workers in hazmat suits and gas masks pumped the oil out of the Louisiana waters and into steel tanks. It was a homegrown idea that seemed to be effective at collecting the thick gunk.

"These barges work. You've seen them work. You've seen them suck oil out of the water," said Jindal.

Well Bobby, don't worry. Obama will don his cape and suck the oil up with a straw. If you believe that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.

Thank you for reading this blog.

As I learn more about politics and our government, and you know so much, I have two questions for you: How do you not get depressed? Is that legal in Connecticut?

The Right Guy said...

Is what legal in CT? Depression or being an idiot?

I’m sorry. I guess I meant to be funny. About government, the only two time periods I have some knowledge about so far is the beginning of our country, and the present. It looks like we ef’d it up pretty bad in between. It’s a bit depressing to me. I also have been sick for years, and I’m getting worse. I have two young children, and I would love them to grow up free, and with a fair chance that if they work hard, they can be self -sufficient and maybe even have some nice stuff.

People like you, Dondero, and a few others give me hope. Before I became sick 16 years ago, I was an expert motocross racer on Sundays, a lead guitarist in a punk rock band at night, and a music teacher in the day. Now, typing a little each day is hard. You owe me nothing, and I don’t know if you ever want a novice’s simple comments. I like to think of myself as more naive than idiotic. I do hope to remedy that, however.

Bill, nothing like that. I just didn't get it. I am past depressed. The only thing I am really depressed about is work. As far as the kids go, raise them as libertarians and they will take care of themselves.

You'll have to email to why you are sick. Sorry to hear that. I ride a motorcycle, but not off-road stuff.

No one owes anyone anything, ultimately, but graciousness to those that deserve it is a good thing. I should rephrase that: We owe our parents. Outside of that, may be some people that are family. Everyone else is a crap shoot. Still, a little civility, humility and humanity go a long way. Sometimes we forget how imperfect we are.

Some of my favorite lines from the series Deadwood:

“Some goddamn point a man's due to stop argueing with hisself and feeling twice the goddam fool he knows he is 'cause he can't be something he tries to be every goddam day without once getting to dinnertime and fucking it up. I don't want to fight it anymore, understand me Charlie? -- and I don't want you pissing in my ear about it. Can you let me go to hell the way I want to?”
—Wild Bill Hickok to Colorado Charlie Utter on Deadwood

--
“I ain't pissed off. I'm in fucking wonderment. I'm waiting to be kept happy by another fucking fairytale.”
—Al Swearengen on Deadwood

“Don't play that shit where you make me drag your words out. Declare, or shut the fuck up.”
—Al Swearengen to E.B. Farnum on Deadwood

--
“Here's my counter-offer to your counter-offer: go fuck yourself.”
—Al Swearengen on Deadwood

“In life you have to do a lot of things you don't fucking want to do. Many times, that's what the fuck life is... one vile fucking task after another.”
—Al Swearengen on Deadwood

“A human being in his last extremity is a bag of shit.”
—Swearengen

“Announcing your plans is a good way to hear god laugh.”
—Swearengen

Some funny and true stuff. I think Eric or may be Chuck would make a good Swearingen. Me, I don't know. May be sheriff Bullocck, may be not. Actually, Chuck would make a great Steve Fields. All he would have to do is grow a stache.

It could be worse, you could move to NY.

Sounds like my daily language when dealing with local hippies. As you can easily guess, I'm very popular.

Popular or notorious? :)

The Right Guy - Thanks for the deadwood, and everything else.

My immune system has gone haywire and is on overdrive - thinking it’s fighting a bad flu or something, but there’s nothing there. (Although a “stealth virus” is one theory.) The doctors label for the disease has changed through time, but the latest is “C-FIDS” - Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome. It sucks. But I’m not quitting doing whatever I can do. And I’ve been blessed with a wife who actually stayed with me through all this. And a great extended family and friends also. I used to be more of a giver, than a taker, in life - I still have hope to turn this back around. Thanks for asking.

Do you have any other symptoms? I had Epstein Barr rear its ugly head twice. In either case I was run down from burning the candle at both ends and it just took time for the titers to go down. without more info, I would be remiss if I said any more.

The Tea Bag Party are just “haters not debaters” or as others have dubbed them “screamers not dreamers”, with their failed attempts at stopping Healthcare reform, they say they respect the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence but they do not mind passing laws, through weak Governors (no one voted for this crazy) who only cares about getting elected Governor, on the backs of undocumented workers, that will not pass Constitution muster.

Brewer signed into law;

1. S.B. 1070,
2. No permit conceal weapons law,
3. The famous Birthers law,
4. Banning Ethnic studies law,

5. Could she be behind the Mural in Prescott, Arizona, ordered to be whiten,
6. On deck to pass, no citizenship to babies born to undocumented workers,

7. If she can read she should look up Arizona’s House Bill 2779 from two years ago (which was un-constitution and failed when legally challenged),
8. The boycotted Martin Luther King Day, what idiots don’t want another holiday? Yes, you guessed it Arizona.

Well Arizona, you can boycott new holidays and keep passing crazy laws and the rest of us will continue to challenged them in a court of law and continue to add cities to our Boycott of your state.

I real cannot believe anything that comes out of Brewer’s mouth, in an interview she first said her father had died in Germany fighting the Nazi in World War II (war ended 1945) but of course we find out the truth that father was never in Germany and died in California in 1955. But we are suppose to believe everything else she says, right! No one voted for you for Governor, yet you keep listening to the tiny brains of the crazies and signing into law everything that comes into their feeble minds, it only make you look dumb, stupid or racist, or maybe all three.

As for the Tea Bag Party, their phony patriotism is sickening; they are just racists going by another name. We all know you are just itching to put a sheet on their head? Let’s face it the Republicans had eight years to deal with health care, immigration, energy (remember Cheney’s secret meetings with oil companies where loosening regulation and oversight were sealed), climate change and financial oversight and governance and they failed. It appears that the Republican Party is only good at starting wars (two in eight years, with fat contracts to friends of Cheney/Bush) but not at winning wars as seen by the continuing line of body bags that keep coming home. The Republicans party will continue turned inward to their old fashion obstructionist party (and their Confederacy appreciation roots) because they continue to allow a small portions (but very loud portion) of their party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” to rule their party. I will admit that this fringe is very good at playing “Follow the Leader” by listening to their dullard leaders, Beck, Hedgecock, Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush, Savage, Sarah Bailin, Orly Taitz, Victoria Jackson, Michele Bachmann and the rest of the Blowhards and acting as ill programmed robots (they have already acted against doctors that perform abortions).

Montana, you are all over the place and I do not kno where to start. First off, I am not a republican. I am not a tea partier. You however are some sort of statist/progressive (probably just misled) that can't put a coherent paragraph together. If you want to know where I stand before spewing here, go to my page and click on the link bona fides and then may be we can have a meaningful discussion.
