Michelle Pulls The Race Card

In a keynote speech before the NAACP (NAALCP for those familiar with Rush Limbaugh), Mobama condemned racist elements within the Tea Party movement. Really? This is a woman from a party that  championed Robert Byrd, who was a klansman and dismissed it as a election ploy. This same klansman was against the civil rights act of 1964. How convenient.

The truth is, is that The Tea Party is making such huge inroads with the voting public and is a vehicle for the repudiation of her incompetent and feckless husband, the Mountebank in Chief, Barack Hussein Obama, hmmm, hmmm hmmm.

The Tea Party, which espouses the philosophy of our founders, which is small government, low taxes, protection of natural rights, elimination of entitlements, and strong national defense. These are everyday people of all colors, races, and national origins as well as ethnic identities and it transcends identity politics as espoused by organizations such as the NAACP and the democrat party.

Right now Obama is sinking in the polls faster the W on a 24/7/365 Katrina-like groundhog day movie. He's proven feckless in fixing any problems or even being involved in such a way to give the impression he is trying to anything other than play another round of golf or eat a cheeseburger with a foreign dignitary.

This is truly a desperate attempt by a many that will hide behind his wife's big behind (would you prefer skirt?), instead of confronting the issues and using reason instead of a marxism template that has been proven not to work, time and time again.

Right now this administration is playing out like a bad episode of Boondocks except there's no comic relief from Uncle Ruckus. Obama is doing his best to ruin this country, like a driver white knuckled on the steering wheel of a bus going over a cliff. It's not that he doesn't have a clue, it that he refuses to admit he is wrong, that his philosophy is wrong and that the country knows this. He truly is not one of our own. We might as well have Lars Rasmussen or Frederik Reinfeldt in the White House.

So, Lady Back can complain all she wants, but if she wants to confront racism, look in the mirror. If she wants this country to do better, she she ask her husband to resign.

It's a New Day

It's a new day after the GOP primary in Iowa. At least it is for The Right Guy. I have to say I am disgusted with political parties, particularly in this state, where they like the same old, same old, Same old. Out of 2,000,000 registered voters, only 150,000 republicans decided who would be the nominee for Governor. If you take 20% off the top as being independent, that leaves 1,600,000. It is said that the dems outnumber the republicans by 100,000 in this state. Ok, so that would be 850,000 democrats, and 750,000 republicans. That means only 20% of registered republicans decided who the next governor will be. Chet Culver, the democrat incumbent is so damaged that I could beat him, and I am the most publicly inarticulate, foot in the mouth blunt, hurt everyone's feelings type of guy. If I am not rallying against the doughnut tax or cursing some bicyclist in two different languages, I am probably telling the locals how stupid they are for having their hand out for taking farm subsidies, better known as corn welfare. That's how damaged Chet "Jethro Bodine" Culver is.

But, it's a new day for The Right Guy. No more party line crap, no more right versus left. Just liberty versus slavery, free will versus indentured servitude, freedom versus being a Farm Animal®. I won't be hemming, hawing and gawking over post modern mama grizzlies, and I am not Rush Limbaugh swearing off carrying water for the GOP, as he never has. Today I am of No Party affiliation, and it's liberating. It really is. And lets be clear here: The Tea Party is not a party. It's an organization of pissed off people that are being co-opted by the GOP to swing the pendulum the other way. They are aimless in their approach, and it will not have legs, just like Obama won't. It's back and forth, two steps forward, two steps back. Sometimes 2 and half steps back, rather than moving in one direction. The net effect is that in the last 70-78 years, we have become progressive more socialist. Nothing really changes for the better, we continue to trade our free will for government largesse. Prove me wrong if you will, but in that continuum, you know I am right. All we do is keep the farmers fed. After today, everyone gets a turn at the paddle.

Iowa Governor Results

From the New York Times:

Iowa Governor Results87% reporting

DemocratsVOTESPCT.
Chet CulverINCUMBENTUNCONTESTED
RepublicansVOTESPCT.
Terry Branstad97,58350%
Bob Vander Plaats78,66340%
Rod Roberts17,6349%

Looks like I will have to stick a fork in Vander Plaats. It's a shame as Branstad is a RINO and full of himself as a 4 term governor thinking he can save the world. Go to Disney Terry. Anyway, I will not vote for Branstad come the fall and I officially here say I am changing my party registration. I am tired of being in a group where it is expected I "fall in line".  Branstad won because he isn't rocking the boat. People in Iowa are afraid of change, and most are pragmatics that I call mush in the middle. It happens when you have your hand out for subsidies. Anyway, here we go. It'll either be NP (No Party) or Libertarian. Libertarian is not an official party in Iowa, just a non-party political organization, whatever that is. They mustn't have the support to be an official party with a primary. To be honest, this move by me has been in the works since McCain. I am tired of the lesser of two evils and I do not owe any party anything. They seem to have gotten in backwards in thinking voters owe them some sort of loyalty like a brand or sports team. In my eyes, they haven't earned it. Automatically expecting it is the height of arrogance. It reminds me of the aholes at Lithia VW of Des Moines: They wouldn't try to get me a car with a manual transmission as they don't order cars with them and expect me to buy what they have. The result is I'll spend my money elsewhere and it's their loss. That attitude is typical in Iowa. In NY, if they want the sale, they'll make it happen.

As far as the Tea Party goes, they are just a group of pissed off constituents that are being co-opted by the GOP. Palin's endorsement put the cap on that and showed she is a gangster and no longer a crusader. So much for being a maverick. While she's learning to play that game, she's lost her authenticity and can't be trusted any more than any other snake oil salesmen. The bloom is off the rose as they say. I will predict that while the GOP will may make gains in 2010, the Tea Party phenomenon will not have the legs some think it will and it will not extend beyond the GOP (unless of course things go much worse, thereby growing the pissed off constituency). It's a subset. Back to the same old pendulum politics.

Iowa GOP Doesn't Get It

It what is expected to be a big year for the GOP, the outlook is so bright for back room political machine machers.

For Charlie Gruschow, a founder of the Des Moines Tea Party, whose members overwhelmingly support Vander Plaats, a Branstad nomination would be a bitter pill.
"I think I'd throw up," Gruschow said. "We talked about this (at a recent tea party meeting). One active member said if Branstad wins, she cannot and will not support him in the general election. I don't think that's the right attitude. ...
And this guy calls himself a Tea Party person? Sorry Charlie, but I am here to educate you. Look at Bennett in Utah and Paul in Kentucky. Even Brown in Massachusetts and Hoffman in NY. These races are a repudiation of GOP machine politics.  Even though Hoffman lost, he trounced a liberal candidate promulgated by the GOP machine, Mr. Potato Head Steele. How did it work for the GOP there Mr. Gruschow?

The point is, people are fed up with the GOP as much as the democrats. We are tired of RINOs who take the banner of the GOP and then screw us like any other democrat. It's become almost a one party system. Dems and Dems light. If someone doesn't support Branstad, and that is my contention, then that is their right, and may be it's a good idea. The GOP doesn't deserve my or anyone else's vote as they haven't earned it. And I have to laugh at the Des Moines Register endorsing Branstad. Always leave it to a left wing (I say left wing and not liberal, they are anathema to true liberalism) newspaper to endorse a mushy in the middle GOP candidate. Branstad will be a lot easier to take apart in the head to head campaigning that will be after the primaries, just as McCain was.

Branstad is the wrong candidate for a number of reasons: He's had four shots at it and now he wants a fifth? He's appointed the judges in this state that make law instead of sending it back to the legislature. He doesn't have a record of cutting a damn thing, not taxes or spending. He's middle of road mush, but may be that is what Iowa contains: Philosophically and ideologically challenged people. I'd like to be proven wrong, but the results speak for themselves. or Res Ipsa Loquitur. Even in rural areas where conservatism is more predominant, we have people who are pro-life yet have their hand out for government subsidies. Pragmatic at best, opportunistic at worst.

I am not a social conservative, nor am I a moderate, whatever that means, but a classical liberal, which is small government, low taxes, low spending, and keeping out of individuals lives in terms of rules, regulations and laws. An old school libertarian, Thomas Jefferson type. To be honest, none of the candidates relate to me as that in a complete sense, so even there, I have to pick and choose. Which is why, if Branstad gets the nomination, I will vote for independent Jonathan Narcisse or a write in. At least I've talked to Jon at length on my radio show and I agree with him on more things than Branstad, who will be more of the middle of the road same bullshit.

So, come June 8th, I would advise all Iowans of republican registration to vote for Roberts or Vander Platts, but not Branstad. Give someone else a shot at it, some one with different ideology and someone that isn't there to please everyone. It's too bad there is no Chris Christie in Iowa (Steve King is the closest thing we have and he won't run for governor). May be Jon, but he doesn't have the money make it happen, and Iowans aren't given to the direct refreshing honesty that Christie brings to the table where here passive aggressive has been mistake for politeness. Sometimes I really miss New York, as there is no mistake where people stand on any issue.

Cheney Rebuked in Rand Paul Win

Rand Paul kicked Grayson's ass in the GOP senate primary in Kentucky, with 59% of the vote. It's a landslide. While I am happy as a clam and it is great news, one thing came to mind. The Tea Party has rebuked the mainline establishment GOP again in this latest primary.

In the senate primary in Utah, Mitt Romney campaigned strongly for Robert Bennett. Bennett lost soundly in spite of Romney's effort, a mormon republican in a mormon republican state. Romney's insider status was repudiated for a fresh Tea Party start.

With the primary election in Kentucky, Cheney campaigned for Grayson, as did other mainline republicans, like Gingrich, to no avail. Remember Gingrich was the same moron that supported Dee Dee Scozzafava against Doug Hoffman. How did that happen Mr. Potato Head? I will assert here that the populace, the Tea Party people, have repudiated Cheney as well. Darth Vader loses, and now shares a spot on the bench with the Sears® Mannequin.

Look for this trend to continue. Machine GOP will have to understand, just like incumbent democrats, that being the GOP default, being anointed by the party oligarchs, by being an incumbent does not guarantee a seat back at the table. And I want the rest of you cowboys to know something, there's a new sheriff in town. And his name is Tea Party. So y’all be cool. Right on.

Penn Jillette in Action

A video of what was in my previous post.

Penn Jillette does a tenkan movement without sweating a drop allowing Rachel Harris to show the world what a moron she is and Seth MacFarlane how out of touch, ill-informed and wrong he is. I do think Penn could have slaughtered MacFarlane, particularly on the statement of 60% of americans want a public option. Total bullshit. Only 38% wanted Obamacare, at best. May be he is dick riding obama.

Thank you for reading this blog.

Uber Libertarian Penn Jillette Puts Rachel Harris In Her Place

H/T Libertarian Republican

Libertarian Penn Jillette defended the Tea Party movement  on CNN's Larry King Live.

Larry King asked Jillette if he considered himself to be a Tea Partier:

"I, there's a lot I disagree with them on, and I'm not really part of it, but I always think that a distrust of the government is the healthiest thing Americans can have. I think that the country was built, the most American thing you can have is a distrust of leaders. Don't follow leaders, watch your parking meters."
Then another guest,  comedienne Rachell Harris, accused the Tea Party of being "more about racism."

Jillette responded:
"Well, that's the magic word. Once you say "racism," the other side loses automatically. And I don't think we have very much evidence that that's what it is. Don't they have to be doing racist things besides you just saying that they're racist?"
Continuing:

HARRIS: "No, but they're looking at the number of people that are in, like, the majority of the people that are in the Tea Party."

JILLETTE: "So the race that they are makes them racist by definition?"

Read the full transcript at Newsbusters):

I guess her logic would make all members of the NAACP racist as well as NOW. What a concept Rachel. You are a stunad.

Does Poll Reveal The Need For Tea Party?

A national poll revealed some interesting things. Allstate/National Journal Heartland Monitor poll revealed that 56% of voters say they have less confidence that elected officials in DC will make good financial and economic decisions, Just 48% approve of the job Obama is doing, while 46% disapprove, and Just 39% say they trust Obama more than GOPers in Congress.

what is most revealing is that 32% say they believe the GOP has the right ideas. That's right, only 32%. While Only 39% of voters said they would vote to re-elect Pres. Obama, Dems have a small 39%-35% advantage on the generic Congressional ballot.

This tells me that the GOP isn't bringing it on, that they aren't doing their job. They can't sell it because they don't have it. While the Democrats have showed their true colors and screwed us in the process, the GOP hasn't come up with anything and counting on the default vote won't do it.

Enter the Tea Party. They have classical liberal ideas and the backing of a large portion of independents. The GOP would like nothing more than to co-opt the Tea Party and use their constituency to get them in in November. What then? A roll back to RINO days where they screw us a little less than Pelosi and company? Could be. Judson Philips of the Tea Party swears it will be the Tea Party that will take over the GOP. Really?

While The Tea Party has amassed some popularity and momentum, not being a formal organization with a purpose beyond steering the GOP has limited their effect. Michael Steele aka Mr. Potato Head, doesn't have the fear of god in him yet. The GOP needs to recall the name "Whigs". The Tea Party should have coalesced in such a way as to foment that notion. They really have not. And the major disappointment for me has been Palin taking the middle road by being loyal to those that pissed on her for another 15 minutes. She may have designs for 2012, but fear of repeating the Bull Moose fiasco of 1912 should not stop her from taking the reins. Rush Limbaugh can't do it, neither will Glenn Beck and Certainly not Sean Hannity. This has to build like a tidal wave and wash everything away when it hits shore. Right now I am wondering if I will get more than one good wave to ride.

Libertarian Politics Live: Mark Skoda of the Tea Party of Memphis discusses the N word controversy

On tonight’s show, we will be talking with another Tea Party guest. Mark Skoda, head of the Memphis Tea Party, and also with the Tea Party Federation, will discuss the Federation's investigation of allegations that Tea party used the n-word during protests over the healthcare bill. While these allegations have been reported as fact; the facts are that so far, there's no proof. No one ever caught the n-word on audio or video. So, the National Tea Party Federation is asking for proof. We will also be discussing violent, extremist and hateful behavior on the left, which of course, is all too common. Following that, Jim Lagnese and I will be doing an open phone segment and taking your calls, at 646-915-9887.

A Reply To John Batchelor and Company

A Reply to John Batchelor and Company.

Peter and JB:
John went to seminary. Of course he knows what messianic figures are about, and he understands Obama. At least I would hope so.

Obama is a fabian socialist. That means an incrementalist approach. I think that he'll shove anything he can down our throats before next january knowing there is no precedent of repealing social reform bills etc. I don't think he cares because he is a man on a mission. What matters is getting the job done. Keeping the job after 2012 is a secondary thought because he has the job now and that's when he can get things done in his context.

Does he want to destroy America as we know it? Yes. It's a tenet of marxism to destroy traditions and rewrite history to suit the marxist regime that follows. His ideology is one of dependence, of puerile dependence of citizens on the government, like farm animals. It's where he believes his power will come from. Once hooked, like an opium addict, most people won't want to get off it. Look at Europe. They are willing to work most of the year for the government. Such foolishness in my estimation and anathema to what America has been. He will use economic populism which is as old as the book and as evil as the devil. Envy as JB knows is proscribed in on of the commandments (coveting), yet the left will use it to foment and redirect discontent (The right uses social issues). Such measures work on the weak minded and they have to break another commandment, stealing, to complete the transaction. I guess the lessons at Sunday school didn't sink in.

What JB may not want to admit is that by being some sort of loyal opposition as he usually portrays, does not repel the onslaught of this leviathan. I have said it before and I will say it again, had JB been a commentator during the revolution, he would have been wringing his hands about the war. I respect his civility and breeding, but like any good tool box, you have to everything available, even if you eschew some of the tools. Nothing is off the table. It doesn't mean you have to use it, just that the other side realizes you can if you want.

Where does this leave us? I could be wrong, but if the GOP/Tea Party does well this november, Obama will be nullified to a great extent. What worries me is the damage done between now and January. I think we should be pushing for as much repeal as we can and I support Beck's position on reduction of government. It not time for the GOP and opposition to Obama to be feckless or timid. The pendulum is swinging and it's time we go with the momentum.
