Times Square Bomber Not Tea Partier: Bloomberg owes apology

H/T LCR and Mimeo

It tuns out the great NYPD has arrested a suspect in the attempted Times Square Bombing. It turns out the suspect is Pakistani, not a Tea Party member as Michael Bloomberg, the ersatz mayor of New York City has asserted.

“If I had to guess, twenty five cents, this would be exactly that,” Bloomberg said. “Homegrown maybe a mentally deranged person or someone with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health care bill or something. It could be anything.”

From the AP:

A Pakistan-born U.S. citizen accused of driving a bomb-laden SUV into Times Square and parking it on a street lined with restaurants and Broadway theaters was to appear in court Tuesday to face charges that he tried to set off a massive fireball and kill Americans, federal authorities said.

The suspect, Faisal Shahzad, was taken into custody late Monday by FBI agents and New York Police Department detectives at Kennedy Airport while trying to board a flight to Dubai, according to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and other officials. He was identified by customs agents and stopped before boarding, Holder said early Tuesday in Washington.

It turns out Bloomberg was wrong again. Will he apologize? I doubt it. He's too busy with other things, like pushing for idiotic regulations in NYC such as restricting salt or some other nanny state non-sense. Many, don't you wish Rudy was back? May be someone should put up a billboard in NYC with that.

America's Mayor

I think someone should post a sign with Rudy Giuliani pictured on it asking Miss me yet? From what I've heard he was a great mayor even before 9/11, but he definitely handled issues after 9/11 very well, like a true leader.

Hey Teresa, sorry I didn't get back right away. Hopefully someone will see this and get the idea. He was a good mayor before 9/11. I am from NY. Crime went down big time. I remember NYC had over 2500 murders in 1992 or 1993 and by the time he left office it was under 600. Remember, this is a city of well over 8 million. In fact, with all 5 boros, I wouldn't be surprised if the real figure is 12 or 14 million. Long Island is over 3 million alone, and between westchester and the part of jersey next to manhattan, we are talking at lest 18 million in the NYMA. Lots of people.

Right Guy,
Don't worry about it. Life happens and I understand that.
My husband is from Long Island and we lived there for about 7 months a few years ago. Visiting LI is enough for me now.

Where did you live? I grew up in North Bellmore, lived in Lybrook and Oakdale.

Islip Terrace. My husbands got a lot of relatives living in various parts of the NY area, so I know where Oakdale and Bellmore is located.
